Self-worth is an entirely real element of being,

And far too many people undervalue themselves

-I didn’t fully believe in the idea, until I started working with people, and people would express outright that they didn’t believe they deserved to be better
You ask people to imagine a stronger, healthier, better version of themselves

And they’re embarrassed to do so,

it feels stupid trying to think about it, shameful even
You dig deep enough, you eventually hit raw emotion

People are ashamed to admit what they want,

They’ve got a whole hoard of self limiting beliefs in place to protect their ego and inadequacy
I talked to a gentleman today, a client

He said

“Maybe I don’t really want to improve my physicality, maybe having a better body...I think I’d be more fragile. I don’t want to be fragile”

I asked him why he thought that
“I feel that it would be superficial, or if I took the time to get healthy, but then god forbid something happened, and I couldn’t keep it up, then I’d be weak”

-But you’re already weak, is what I more or less told him. You’re already fragile
You start off wanting something. And maybe you try for it

But it’s out of reach, and perhaps you’re too stupid embarrassed to ask for help in reaching it

So you stop, and convince yourself you never really wanted it at all
You see someone else that has what you wanted,

And then you decide not only do you not want it, but those that have it, you criticize them for it

You do this because deep down, you cannot handle the idea that someone is better than you
You train yourself to hate all the things you cannot have and cannot be,

Until one day, that which you have neglected begins to Unmake you

And you have to face the reality that you don’t value yourself very much at all
