I can tell you getting bigger on Twitter has made it so editors reach out to me, as opposed to the other way around. It’s not for everyone but it absolutely does work
This is to some extent a subtweet to certain successful professional writers, some of whom I know and some of whom are famous, who advise aspiring writers to get off Twitter. This is a privileged stance and probably bad advice more often than not.
