The one thing that irrationally HATE is people projecting their Pessimism on you

"You'll see! When you get older, you wont stay in shape/be fit/still think that/that wont work/that wont happen/etc etc etc"

NO motherfucker, YOU WILL SEE
I used to get this from family members, and its never not sent me into a fury

It takes all the restraint I have to not tell them to go fuck themselves for their broken marriage, soul killing job, 40% bodyfat, and every other failure of their life
I have zero respect for anyone that tells me how Im going to decline based on how THEY declined

Thats their own lack of standards that they succumbed to
Putting a positive spin on it, it did teach me over the years that most people do not truly live by any kind of higher standard

They think they do, but they do not
A standard of excellence is a standard of action and being that is above and beyond you. It requires discipline, dedication, and some level of striving

One can entertain the idea that they are working for excellence, buts its a state of delusion
Most people don't have Standards of Excellence they have Standards of Convenience

and their standards drop as soon as difficulty is encountered

They are "aiming high" so long as its an easy path to walk
As soon as difficulty is encountered

-Im working long hours
-I had kids
-"Life" gets in the way
-I've got a lot of stress
-I don't have time
-its just the way I am
What was previously their "excellence" they though they had entirely dissipates

People get lazy, and their self-care, their spirit, their depth of character, it all gets shallower and shallower, and lesser and lesser
I've trained every kind of person, I've known far too many zealously dedicated people who woke up at 5am to train at 530am and had 3 kids and "made it work" because their well being and being an example meant more to them than succumbing to laziness
And that waking up early led them to go to bed early, which required a planned dinner time, which required them to plan,

which meant they had to cut themselves off from working, which further required time/priority management
So their excellence wasnt a hindrance at all, but a guiding light that extended over their whole life, & made it far more fulfilling

You can say fuck that & be lazy, because you know, you'll see, thats what happens when You get older

Like Hell.
