Random thoughts..
I wonder if countries should treat people from other countries differently.
People migrate to USA, Europe and settle down. Are they expecting respect and want to live peacefully? Why did they even move out of their country in the first place?
We know there are asylum seekers and refugees and they don't have any other places to go. I'm asking about folks who are moving for work or migrate for other reasons..

If not congress then who? I know many here don't agree to this coz there have been incidents in the past that was not easy for them personally.. There is also concern that they might end up in something similar if they support the Congress party.
I see that people from certain community have made up their minds not to support the Congress party. This could be prejudice or they are worried that their support could harm to the community.

I was out of the country and use to visit every year. Some would ask kab khaana hai biryani? Took me few days to realize the question was related to shaadi. My reply would be next year and I would fly out after a month. (1/n)
Not sure if it was coincidence, the return ticket was always Jan 12th. This happened not once but 4 years back to back. In a way it worked out well work-wise. (2/n).

Never heard anything like that before.
Dad's friend was not well and was admitted to the hospital. He went into a coma and later the doctors declared him dead. The family made the arrangements for the funeral and were going to cremate the body in evening. (1/n).
He was living alone and he was close to his pets. There was no family as such and younger sibling and nephew were close to him. The other family members decided to cash in on the tragedy. One family targeted the property and another went for the gold and jewellery. (2/n).

Whenever people boast about their privilege. For example, when someone says got a expensive dress item. I'm converting that amount in my mind. 700rs of ration for one family/month and that xyz amount would feed 10 families, 20 families and so on. That's how im looking at things.
Have pushed big purchases and even cleared off some accounts coz that could be used for someone. There are many things on my mind but I tell people that we can bounce back if we lose everything but those folks won't be able to. It has changed my perspective of looking at things.
The way the @DelhiPolice has behaved and treated their own citizens is a national shame. This police force has no respect for human lives and have no spine. All they do is take orders from their masters. This is the worst police force in the entire country.
Political leaders have seen the wrong and they haven’t spoken about the police atrocities. What they are doing today to protesting farmers is not new. delhi riots, JNU, Jamia were identical. They even have given goons immunity to misbehave with the protestors. This is a shame.

There is already cracks in JDU and there are enough signs of the party losing power. Being an NDA ally, they even had to make statements on NPR and CAA. The JDU is hoping people will give them the support this time as well.

@av_anuasha Growing with the name Varghese was tough.. among christian communities, the grand fathers name was often given to the kids.. it was so easy to trace back the names. Anyone can guess my dads name and then even go back 3 generations..
@av_anuasha My Sunday school teacher once asked who gave me this long name.. it was difficult to even say it correctly. There were all the different names.. varghese, verghese, vaaargees, Vargis and then some even called nargis.. it was tough to live with this name..

It is also very shocking that India targeted those people.. the money they make is not in millions.. most of the workers make decent amount. However that may not get them a decent facility in those countries.. many stay in sharing or company provided accomodation..
It is against the country’s law too.. the individuals working there don’t pay tax but then they have to pay tax elsewhere.. that’s cruel.. seriously if this gets implemented, I have a suggestion for the countries that don’t tax individuals.

There is a House of Representatives and there is a senate to decide if the president can be impeached in the US
In india, we are basically out of options.. the trust vote takes precedence in both the upper and lower house. It may look indetical but the whole process is a sham.
In both the houses, there is no way to bring in any kind of articles agains the PM. The largest democracy mostly depends on the Supreme Court.. there is no way anyone one can bring articles of impeachment in any house.. this is a shame.
