A thread 🧵 This is probably going to be long but it’s on my mind so it’s coming out. I still think about the lockdown and quarantine. It was global so we all shared in a unique experience which was inherently tragic. We all were in it together. Everyone. Yet apart. From a ⬇️1️⃣ psychological standpoint, it could have united everyone. Instead, the wrong people were in charge. People only concerned with themselves which they passed down to people who preferred denial. We could have come together while apart. Instead we were driven further apart. And ⬇️2️⃣

After reading that article in the federalist (fascist), it’s clear to me that America is in a very dire situation. Every election is going to be challenged or worse, ignored. The right wing have no interest in being in a democracy or a republic. Rather they want one party to /1 rule. It really does sound exactly like the Handmaid’s Tale. They know they are the minority and they demand we follow their rules or we get jailed. It’s insane but that’s what the article says. They want to embrace a totalitarian regime.
