With the amount of clerical tyranny in the Church, anticlericalism is good. Even bishops should be anticlerical. However you cut it, a cabal of a few clerics is not ‘the assembly’ meant by Jesus (#Matthew 18), competent to render judgement independently.

Since many of the #Reformed believe the archangel Michael is Jesus, they should be okay with praying to St Michael, right? I myself have no settled position on whether St Michael is Jesus. I do not pray to him.

There needs to be a Chinese Christian college but actually traditional: Chinglican liturgy, Confucian classics, Neoconfucian metaphysics. The Faculty of Theology can go heavy on patristics and Reformed scholastics but also reflect on Christianizing all of Chinese culture.

Christians need to stop being confused and misled about this stuff. Our old divines knew better and taught better.
