1/ Thread. Hi @GovStitt. I'm an elected official from Canada - kind is the equivalent of an American Congressional rep. However, I have have a big problem that only you can solve. It's close to my heart, and is causing me no end of anxiety, and it's related to COVID-19. 2/ You see, I got married to one of your electors about a year ago. 1/ Thread. My party is in the middle of a leadership race, it just received a "what went wrong" report, and now Harper has stepped back from the fund. So let's talk about a vision for corporate governance. How the party is governed is just as important as what it stands for. 2/ First, current state. Right now, our governance, in theory, is managed between the Leader (elected by members), the Fund (appointed by leader) and National Council (NC) (elected by members).

It is real, it is rooted in legitimate concerns, and is widespread. It's not the same as it was 30 years ago. @AndrewTumilty @lisakinsella 2/ The people who feel like Canada is hanging them out to dry are from every demographic - new Canadians, young and old, straight and gay. The feeling is much more widespread than what is being depicted in a few rallies held by a few people.

All of us in Canada are blessed to live in a pluralism that exists because we have the right to be free from discrimination based on many things, including who we love. 2/ Each of us have the responsibility to protect that right, not just for ourselves, but for every Canadian.
