Three potential goals of Russian advance:

1) making the AFU divide our small recourses (mostly from Donetsk oblast);

2) cutting logistics for Кupiansk direction (E40);

3) creating a buffer zone.

This is how I see it🧵 Even if the only variant will be achieved — that’s a horrible situation.

And I am for sure that we will have to move our «reserves» to that area. It’s just impossible not to react.

And it means more success for their advance in Donetsk oblast.

Folks! My friend Andrii from the 58 brigade told me that Russians at his direction are constantly attacking their positions near Vuhledar.

The 5 tank brigade, 37 motorised brigade and 40 marine brigade are attacking and losing a lot of armed vehicles🧵👇 4 BTR-82A and one BMP-1:

The second part of this year will be the hardest since May 2022 I assume.

Russians are able to push at different directions (Donetsk oblast is a strategic goal for this year). And they do it.

I am sure that we will see new directions such as Northern Kharkiv👇 RUAF right now have enough forces to move them from, for example, Kreminna to Avdiivka without loosing the advancing potentional.

New CAA, new AC, new divisions. They are creating more and more forces. They will reach success this year.

In the nearest future I will publish a short thread about the biggest Russian advance near Tonenke, Avdiivka area, where they used a tank battalion in charge.

But right now I would like to say a couple of words about FPV drones and the dillusional reality they have created. First of all, a short remark: I am totally supportive of FPV drones. With both of my hands.

But U need understand some thing: that’s not a panacea. Not at all.

Avdiivka city destroyed and occupied by Russians. But personally for me it’s more than just a one more city.

My brigade and I defended it since October 2022 till March 2023.

And back then Russians tried to capture the city on regular bases.

February was a very hot month. After the retreat from Avdiivka Russian strategic assault in that area continued having the goal to reach the main defence line of UAF.

After more then 2 weeks they did in some areas.

But they’ve paid a price in the places they didn’t plan to🧵 Those T-90M and BVM were destroyed (video was published today).

Yes, it was a T-62. Without ERA. 11.02.24 three Russian T-62 and one T-80BV attacked Ukrainian positions. None of them reached the goal.

Community! My friend from Vuhledar direction texted me and asked for help.

A couple of days ago they’ve been attacked by Russian marines (40th Marine brigade) and they need a drone instead of a lost one.

The attacks started at 14.02.24 and continued till 17.02.24.

UAF tried to counter attack and lost one MaxxPro, unfortunately.

One year ago the RUAF were pushing near Vuhledar. Different Russian units tried to breakthrough but didn’t manage, suffered heavy losses and were stoped.

Apart from that direction RUAF we’re pushing near Avdiivka. And my brigade was defending the city from the South🧵





07.02.23 we were defending war Severne (still under Ukrainian control) and Russians were attacking from the side of Vodiane.

Right now RUAF are pushing from the same direction. But the battle is more cruel than it used to be back then.

My company takes part at this operation since the beginning. For this quite short period of time managed to destroy 20 enemy artillery pieces, two tanks and a couple of AFV.

Using HIMARS, FPV drones and something else👇 Using our big bomber drones (BTW, you sponsored and we bought 8 antennas for them that made them accurate) we mined roads (we learned their logistics using drones for recon).

Tank was driving and hit a mine. Became disabled and «Birds of Madyar» finished him🤌

A short thread/update about one day on the South of Avdiivka near Vodiane.

For the last 10 days in this part of Ukraine it’s foggy. Very foggy.

And at 15.12.23 RUAF decided to use weather conditions and attack positions of UAF🧵👇 RUAF decided to use a lot of smoke ammunition. Was it helpful for them? You look at the photos.

BTW, it’s rare that two sides are using smoke.

Avdiivka. Part VI

During 10.12-16-12.23 was the largest offence from the South of Avdiivka since 10.10.23 (the beginning of the operation). Only for one day, 10.12.23, they have lost 9 tanks.

The battle is cruel and really hard. Let’s take the look at the results 🧵👇 First loss is T-62. I suppose it had to be a kamikaze tank. But not sure.

When U see destroyed Russian tanks, IFV etc what do U feel? Are U satisfied? Hope so.

But how it’s happening? What stands behind of this? You might think that the enemy is stupid and the only thing they want — die stupidly. But no.

And all of this have a price from our side🧵👇 On the contrary, the enemy tries their best to kill you. Every destroyed Russian tank, every enemy soldier/heavy machine gun/APC whatever it’s a very hard daily work.

Every time some unknown Ukrainian soldier flies FPV, takes an RPG and firing at the Russians.

No matter what but the war continues. And RUAF are still trying to capture Avdiivka.

I don’t know what’s going on but sometimes I think that the West is afraid of our Victory.

Well, doesn’t matter. We will continue fighting till the end.

A short update about enemy advance near Vodiane, south of Avdiivka.

Our mutual enemy advancing every day. Sometimes just with infantry, sometimes with the help of IFV. Especially tanks.
