Unpopular take: As someone with a Master's degree in statistics and who teaches data science, I'm very much over the "data scientists are incompetent fools who just throw data in and get results from a computer with no critical thinking" takes. 1/ Note: This isn't me defending the "put all variables into a model, apply PCA, get out insights that describe the causation among those variables" nonsense. That "method" is bullshit; it doesn't work. I agree with this take. 2/
