(A short story) - must read.....

There was an old man. He was wealthy and living with son and daughter-in-law.

One day he became sick. He was hospialised. After few days he was taken home. His son engaged a nurse and a servant to look after him.

Cases in Delhi, where Ivermectin was begun on April 20, ⬇️ from 28,395 to just 2,260 on May 22.... an astounding 92% ⬇️. Likewise, cases in Uttar Pradesh have ⬇️ from 37,944 on April 24 to 5,964 on May 22 - a decline of 84%. Delhi and Uttar Pradesh followed the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) guidance published April 20, 2021, which called for dosing of .2 mg per kg of Ivermectin per body weight for three days.

The old farm laws ..the Agricultural Produce Marketing Committee (APMC) laws...came into existence almost 150 years ago to feed the colonial masters raw cotton for their Manchester mills. The output of these mills was then sold to the “natives” for a hefty profit. The farmer was obligated, required, forced to sell to the masters in a regulated market whose regulation was set by, you guessed it, the colonial masters.

Income-Tax payers don't want a "thank you " paragraph in Budget Speech.We want that bullies who blockade cities not be appeasedby Central Government. We don't want our hard-earned money which we pay as taxes to enrich farmers of one state at the expense of farmers of other states We don't want our tax money to fund purchases of grains at artificially high MSP. We don't want to fund depeletion of water and desertification of Punjab. We don't want to fund an MSP where Punjab farmer drives around in German cars while farmers in other states languish.

Punjab farmers are making a fool of themselves by protesting against enabling provisions which do not cast any obligations on them.

An option to sell outside APMC given. Don't like it? Don't avail it. Sell in APMC through middlemen who are like family. An option to enter into contract farming agreement given. Don't want it? Don't do it. Tell Ambani or Adani to get lost. No one is forcing you to enter into Contract farming agreements.

♦️Notified commodities cant be sold outside APMC mandis.
♦️Multiple levies for sale/purchase.
♦️No direct farmer to trader sale. Even if allowed, user charges/ cess levied.
♦️Commissions,cess became revenue streams and FCI/ taxpayer foot the bill Mandi fees-commissions
♦️Of 25 states with APMC acts, 12 do not charge commission on notified crops
♦️ In these 12 states, service charges vary from 0-1% in 9 and 2% in MP, Tripura. Level with private trade

The Farm Law Protests mask the Blatant Inequality of Rural Punjab where Dalit farm labour derisively known as seeri are oppressed.

If these poor labour demand any pay increase, they are boycotted by landlords often with collusion of district administration. When these labourers start demanding pay increments, the landlords rain down on them with majoritarian might. Any collective action is crushed with village-wide “boycotts.”

I took Ayush Kwath Kaada when I had fever recently on Saturday. It caused me to sweat and lowered my temperature.....from 102.5 to 101
