From there this path proceeds with civil disobedience/non-violent protests to end the regime; then it runs through free & fair elections for a constitutional assembly; and finally it arrives at a national referendum in which each Iranian casts a single equal vote for a new #Iran.
What is critical and non-negotiable is the substance of the future state - it must be secular and democratic, and designed to safeguard each citizen’s #HumanRights. What is less important is the form of the future state - whether it is a constitutional monarchy or a republic.
