Thread on how to write numbers > 100 in #संस्कृतम्

100 = शतम् ... एकवचनान्त (Singular) नपुंसकलिङ्गी (neuter gender) ।
2.
• 1 lakh =
• 10 lakh = नियुतम् / प्रयुतम् ।

All these are singular and नपुंसकलिङ्गी. Decline as गृहम् .

• 1 Crore =
• 10 Crore =

These two are स्त्रीलिङ्गी (Feminine) and decline as मतिः ।
3.

Bigger numbers are नीलम् , पद्मम् , शङ्खम् etc.

शतम् , सहस्रम् and bigger numbers are also referred in the literature as अनन्तम् in general.

This is a case of false interpretation of सूत्र literature like #अर्थशास्त्रम् and trying to misquote कौटिल्य

This happen when u don't know #संस्कृतम्

Here, I will put facts from the same chapter

दास is not slave. How ? Read in this thread

1/6
2/6
The very first सूत्र in this chapter says :

Except उदरदास (The one who is दास out of his compulsion), nobody from 4 वर्ण can be made दास

Violation of this rule attracts various levels of दण्ड ... Highest is प्राणदण्ड.
3/6
Above rule is made crystal clear in next

As a general rule, nobody from आर्य (ब्राह्मण/क्षत्रिय/वैश्य/शूद्र) can be made दास

कौटिल्य further states
म्लेच्छानाम् अदोषः प्रजां विक्रेतुम् आधातुं वा (but मलेच्छ, who is out of आर्य fold, does it)

Small steps to protect #Dharma
1. Take time to teach your children or those in neighbourhood what you know about #tradition & make them do something related to it practically.
2. Follow daily #Achara , at least few of them (स्नान &सन्ध्या ) with devotion & concentration.
3. Contemplate on the ill effects of following what most people take as norm of modernity. #Depression and #anxiety are almost synonymous to the "modern lifestyle"
4. Put some effort to practice non-greediness if you feel greed of prestige, power or penny is ruling you
5. Take time to look into the inner core of yourself. Is it full of gratefulness for what you are doing/ the life you have got to live ? If answer is no, then something more important is missing in your life. May be you are doing what is not suitable to your #स्वभाव/ #स्वधर्म
