Having lived at the border myself, I'm not surprised by this sheer act of racism (in the form of pushbacks & inaction). So, here is my plea to my Thai Civil Society friends, please do something about this & raise the issues to put more pressure on your gov to save lives. 1/2
Our Karen brothers & sisters are in dire need of help. So many young children, women & elderly people had to run just like we have all had to do for decades. Compassion isn't expensive. I know your gov are also tyrannical but I believe in your power & the power of our solidarity!
อยากขอร้องคนไทย โดยเฉพาะกลุ่มที่ทำงานเรียกร้องสิทธิมนุษยชน และกลุ่มทำงานต่างๆให้ช่วยเหลือพี่น้องชาว Karen ของเราด้วย พวกเขาหนีจากระเบิดโดยทหารพม่า ไม่มีที่ไปจริงๆ ขอความกรุณาล็อบบี้และกดดันรัฐไทยให้ช่วยด้วยเถอะค่ะ หากว่าพวกเรามีที่ไป ไม่จำเป็นต้องเดือดร้อนคุณ จะไม่มาให้หนักใจเลย
