I’m not sure if people are aware, but something very serious is happening in Hong Kong right now. The government is trying to pass an Extradition law that would allow China to extradite whoever they wanted from HK to be tried/prosecuted in China. cont-

This is bad for a multitude of reasons. Firstly, judges would regulate who gets extradited or not, but multiple HK judges have come forward and expressed concerns about ‘being pressured’ by Beijing, as the HK judicial system is very much monitored by the communist party.

Recently, the Chinese gov abducted 5 booksellers from HK and detained them for selling political books that spoke out against the communist party. This was highly illegal as freedom of speech is a protected right in HK. By passing this extradition bill, China would be able-
