Some really alarming content related to the #AFLM is doing the rounds today. We don’t know if it’s genuine or not, but one thing is clear - in the course of a dispute initially between two men, another woman has been dragged in and spoken about offensively. 1/
This is a pattern, and one that is all too familiar to so many of us. We don’t know who features in these videos, who released the information or why, but there’s one thing we do know: this is precisely why sport feels like an unsafe environment for many people. 2/
Women’s voices in sport and safe places in sport for women, girls and non binary folk are important and necessary. In fact, they’re essential. On our podcast, we often discuss the barriers for women being more involved in sport - moments like this are a huge one. 3/
