☑️500+ shots generated with #gen2 beta to get 65 shots that made it into the movie
☑️5000 credits used to generate 3 custom voices with @elevenlabsio, that fitted my taste of timbre and likeness

☑️Music: the most important part for me! Some shots inspired me to find 2 tracks, put them together with the voices first, imagining the film in my head only

Basically, you can choose between these lenses:
🏔 Wide-angle lenses (10mm to 35mm)
🕺 Standard lenses (35mm to 85mm)
👀 Telephoto lenses (85mm to 300mm)
They often correspond to these shots:
Wide angle (wide-angle)
Medium to medium close-up (standard)
Close-up (tele)

you can go up to 14:1 (!) but: letterboxing seems to set in roughly at ultra widescreen (3.6:1)

However, 3.6:1 (and higher ratios) seems to work better if you drop the cinematic prefixes (cinematic shot, film still, etc.) 🤷♂️🤔

Overall flow: pre-process video > img seq > play with prompts > initial controlnet settings > control net batch render > upscale > clean up in post > key out background > deflicker > video post-production 2/15
The approach I used here was figuring out an initial workflow. There’s definitely a lot to play with and improve on. The orig vid is low-res and a little blurry so I started with a pre-process pass by bringing out the edges/brightness & upscaling. 3/15

Oh! And yes, believe it or not, the mythical Dana Vargan appears in this film. Dana passed away in 2018 without a journalist ever being able to get a word out of her about her role in "The Artifact".

I started by having #chatGPT write a few rough drafts of a scene involving a panicked character calling her friend for help from a spaceship. I was going for something that would involve heightened emotions but not be too serious. 2/8
Then I wrote a short script using some of those ideas plus my own and put the whole thing into @elevenlabsio. I generated a few takes using low Stability (1-2%) and high Clarity (90-99%). Each take usually had parts I liked, or at least gave me ideas for direction. 3/8

The artisans worked tirelessly to create a masterpiece that would please the Emperor. They carefully crafted each piece of the camera by hand, using the finest kaolin clay and the most delicate of designs.
The resulting images were stunning, and the Emperor was so pleased with the camera that he ordered several more to be made for his court photographers.
