Boxing Day Test - we lose Virat, Ajinkya takes over captaincy, with a forgettable loss still lurking. We carry a record of not winning at the 'G while chasing. Aussie win the toss & elect to bat, meaning we'd have to bat fourth.

With Shami gone due to injury, Bumrah leads from the front making sure the Aussies bundle out within 200 with the other bowlers chipping in at regular intervals. Ashwin picking Smith for a blob is the most special part of it all.

Australia setting up a good lead here - 4/182 at lunch with a lead of 276. The pitch at the SCG historically falls apart in the last two days and is terrible for the last innings, which will be India's dilemma.
#AUSvIND
The problem with this Australian summer is we simply do not have enough Test cricket. Even with Covid, we need a longer Test series. It is great for national morale amid the plague and esp as we are playing against India, one of our favourite rivals. #AUSvIND
India's lunchtime discussion seems to have been about helping Smith to get to his century as soon as possible

Well this had been stated at the start of the tour itself that there won't be any hotel quarantine after first 14 day quarantine on arrival in Australia. This hotel quarantine came out of nowhere!!
And this opposition hasn't come after that restaurant episode there were discussions going on same issue two days before that incident as stated by few Australian journalists. One has to feel for players they're coming here straight from hard IPL bubble.
They quarantined themselves in their respective hometowns even before going into the IPL bubble. BCCI requested Cricket Australia to reduce their quarantine days on arrival in Australia as the players were coming straight out of one bio bubble but Cricket Australia denied.

DRS hot take and a mini thread: a) Showing only the most likely trajectory and b) calling the uncertainty 'umpire's call' are doing a disservice to the acceptability of the DRS. A modeling and simulation + uncertainty analysis perspective: 1/ #AUSvIND
Analysing the dynamics and trajectories of a bouncing ball is literally the 'Hello, world' example of our community. You pick up any course material, and this is likely the first example, e.g., inst.eecs.berkeley.edu//~ee291e/sp20/… 2/
If everything is known *exactly*, there can only be one outcome, i.e., one possible trajectory. You can write mathematical equations about it and even plot a computer simulation. e.g., mathworks.com/help/simulink/…. If there is no variation, you will get the same result every time. 3/

As poor a substitute as Rugby 7s is for Rugby XV, there is nothing more ersatz than watching this BBL nonsense when one desires - indeed, one demands - Test Cricket. Indeed, play should start promptly each day at 0900 and end only at sunset. These 1030 starts are lazy. #AUSvIND
There was a stage in Australian cricket when dropping catches meant Allan Border would have you on the first plane home etc .... laziness in the field shows a lack of team spiritedness and poor attitudes that need an urgent adjustment. #AUSvIND
Australia has given Gill two chances and he will punish us all innings for our indolence and lack of attention to the ball. #AUSvIND

So, Indian Team was humiliated yesterday in Adelaide. There has been lots of talk regarding this loss and half of the people are blaming Virat for this unforgettable defat.
How can you even think of only blaming Virat.
Here’s a thread. Do Read 😊

Captain wise he rotated his bowlers well in the first innings and then it was a total nightmare for the batmen of Indian team, credit to their bowlers for bowling those unplayble deliveries. Those deliveries were meant to be played and you can’t do anything about it.👇🏻

I simply don’t get the abuse from Twitteratis on Anshuka Sharma and comparing of Virat with MSD, is he still playing?
He is that chapter of Indian cricket who turned everything into gold and he has build Kohli for doing similar. You can’t simply compare them with anyone

Started with a Kashmir Willow bat but moved to English Willow by the time I was 12-13.
However much I want Rahul to open in Tests, it’s unlikely to happen soon. Mayank-Rohit-Prithvi slightly ahead now.
