これまでそれなりに英語を学習してきた経験があったのと、ネイティブの5,6歳向けの本だということもあり、少し舐めていました。
読み始めてみるとなんか難しい。使われてる単語に馴染みのないものが結構混ざってるのです。ここで馴染みがない単語というのは人の動作や仕草を表す単語や日常単語です。

私の場合は大学受験や英検よりのアカデミックな語彙やTOEIC等のビジネスよりの語彙に偏ってしまっていたようで、日常生活を送る上で当たり前に知っているべき単語がわからなかったのです。
