Let’s me show you guys how it all started just like a joke in 2015. @MBuhari started with the 1.6 KM long Second Niger Bridge which is a key national infrastructure, with immense socio-economic benefits for the entire nation.

All three standard gauge rail (SGR) lines are getting brand new locomotives and coaches (including DMUs). I believe 60 sets were delivered. Lagos-Ibadan getting the largest share, rest being shared between Abuja-Kaduna and Itakpe-Warri.

For those asking about the Trial Schedule for #LagosIbadan Rail, this is from the NRC MD:

“We will continue to do a return trip every day, where the train leaves Ibadan by 9.00 a.m. and leaves Lagos by 4.00 p.m. But after 21st December, we will be running two return trips.”
He explains the purpose of the Trial Rides: We are “stressing the track so that if there are errors in the formation or any other thing, it will come out before the full commencement of commercial operations in April.” #LagosIbadanRail
“We have about 350 wagons, both for containers and other goods that are coming in on that route. Also we are going to have about 36 coaches for passengers. We intend to run about six return trips between Ibadan & Lagos when we start [full operations].” — MD, NRC #LagosIbadanRail
