Leather is a perfect material for practicing painting techniques.

This is my first attempt at #AdobeFresco’s realistic oil brushes.

When learning something new, start small... like a leather bag. Image
I've never been all that confident with digital painting and haven't used real oil paints in about 15 years.

But I do want to get good at it.

Studies like these are baby steps toward eventually painting an entire scene, a thought that intimidates me.
Fresco blends colors together with the brush more or less in a way real oils mix on a canvas.

It has a feature to let you "dry the paint" so it won't mix, which is clever.

Instead I used different layers so I could go back and blend if I wanted to.

Trying out #AdobeFresco for the first time on my iPad.

Just a simple line drawing of my living room with a splotchy ink pen.

I'm going to lay some color under it with the app's amazing digital watercolor tech, which is what I really want to test drive. #prerelease #betauser Image
So far, I like the app. It's going to be hard not to compare it to Procreate, which I have been a fan of for years.

Fresco doesn't seem quite as intuitive but the brush engine is it's killer feature. And that's a pretty big deal.

I'll be happy using both apps. 😀
I drew this last night. In reality, there were more toys scattered on the floor, like a dozen more hot wheels I didn't feel like drawing. And some tracks. #parentlife
