I spent the day calling pharmacies in #Lethbridge and #Airdrie, seeing who would stock #Mifegymiso for #MedicalAbortion. Here are a few wild things I learned:
1) Not a single pharmacist knew what the medication was for (fair enough, I don't expect them to know every medication). But considering none of them knew it, most certainly had an opinion about it once I shared the indication for use!
2) Not a single pharmacy had the medication in stock. I called over 25 pharmacies today, folks. I never experienced this in #Ontario. When I said that to one pharmacist, he laughed at me and said, "yes, we are proud to be different here."

Another FOIP shows in 2020 #Airdrie paramedics were sent out to more calls in Calgary & other areas than responding to emergencies in Airdrie. In 2014, about 35% of their calls were outside Airdrie. In 2020 it rose to 53%, and so far in 2021 (YTD) it's 61%. #Calgary #yyc — FOIP: Image

Things like this make me mad 😡. @HarvestHillsYYC is a grass roots organization that only has at the moment a staff of twenty volunteers that also have lives and families of their own

But when someone makes a request and demands to be put to the top of the list ahead of others..
...and when they are politely told that it was not possible because there were other requests ahead of them...they accused The Harvest Hills Cares Calgary Team of not wanting to help!

They even threatened to go ahead and tell everyone about the “experience” they had.
Jenn had her volunteer call her in tears because that volunteer was threatened as well when all they did was respond in an appropriate manner.

I have included proof of these messages with all identifying information removed.
