Some background. I was a Sergeant with #NYPD and was involved in a handful of shooting incidents. I am a @NRA LE firearms instructor & owned a security consulting & training company in Los Angeles.

I trained armed professionals, civilians & actors who wanted to prepare for auditions & movie/TV roles.
Prior to any firearm training I would provide all students, even LE members, with a packet that's primary purpose was addressing safe firearm handling.

Gun safety is a pretty simple formula.
1)Treat every gun like it's loaded. If anyone, including #BabyJesus hands you a gun & tells you it's unloaded, say thank you & verily it yourself.
You are ultimately responsible for anything that happens with that gun. No blame shifting

Bei einem Colt 1873 bedeutet das dann, das das SchlagstĂŒck manuell von Baldwin gespannt wurde. Ob anschliessend der Abzug betĂ€tigt wurde, ĂŒber welche internen Sicherungen die Waffe verfĂŒgte ("Abzugsicherung"), etc, ist zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt nicht bekannt. 3/x

2/ I don't think Alec Baldwin is any saint. There are many things I dislike and disapprove of Alec Baldwin. He might be guilty of mistakes on the set and many others in his past, but Iâll show you why it can't be possible he intended this. He's a distraction from something huge!!
3/ Most of us haven't heard of Halyna Hutchins before this tragedy. She was a research journalist before she became a cinematographer. Let me show you a short bio I found on Instagram. Thereâs more on LinkedIn and other places, but this is enough to get a grasp of her background:
I don't think #AlecBaldwin is guilty at all, and I don't think the propman in charge of firearms brought a real bullet on the set either. The propman should have checked right before the scene, but I believe someone else introduced the bullet BEFORE with further base intentions.
Sadly, it wouldn't be the 1st time that the top commanding elites order such actions secretly to change politics and law. Sometimes they've been caught for doing so. If now that's the case, it wouldn't be new.
Remember: There's no reason for bringing a real bullet to a film set!

Weil derzeit viel zu dem Unfall bei #alecbaldwin geschrieben und spekuliert wird, hier mal technische HintergrĂŒnde. Ein Thread:
Bei Filmwaffen kann nicht einfach mal so mit Platzpatronen geschossen werden. Da diesen die Geschosse fehlen, wĂŒrde bei Pistolen, Maschinenpistolen oder zB auch Sturmgewehren quasi ohne den notwendigen Gasdruck und RĂŒckstoss die Selbstladefunktion ausfallen. 1/x
Ergebnis wÀre dann, dass der Schauspieler nur einen Schuss abgeben könnte und der Actionfilm danach ziemlich langweilig erschiene.
Damit sowas gerade nicht passiert, werden Filmwaffen entsprechend aus echten Waffen umgebaut. Je nach Modell ist das mehr oder weniger kompliziert 2
