In fact, Republican senators and Trump himself are saying that the missiles fires at our troops last night were paid for with "American tax payer money that was giving to them by Obama."

Back in the 80's Iran was under sanctions and it was illegal to sell them weapons. Reagan (Republican) was president. In S. America there was a militia group called The Contras. The Contras were trying to overthrow a socialist government that Republicans did not like.
