پیپائرس (Pepyrus)

Have you ever heard of the “Orion Correlation Theory”? It’s the correlation between the location of the 3 largest pyramids & Orion's Belt of the constellation Orion, & that this correlation was intended as such by the original builders of the #Giza #pyramid complex. #Archaeology Image
The Orion correlation theory was put forward by Robert Bauval, & the theory was first published in 1989 in Discussions in Egyptology, volume 13. It was the subject of a bestseller, The Orion Mystery, in 1994. Source: arxiv.org/pdf/1109.6266.…

Antirhodos was an island in the eastern harbor of Alexandria, #Egypt, on which a Ptolemaic palace was sited. The island was occupied until the reigns of Septimius Severus & Caracalla & it probably sank in the 4th century, when it succumbed to earthquakes & a tsunami #Archaeology ImageImageImage
There was said to be an earthquake in the eastern Mediterranean near Crete in the year 365. The site now lies underwater, near the seafront of modern Alexandria, at a depth of approximately five metres (16 ft). ImageImageImage
The jewel of the island is, of course, Cleopatra’s now-underwater palace which lies submerged five meters or 16 feet underwater. It is only ironic that, like the site itself, Cleopatra’s final resting place is waiting to be discovered. ImageImageImage

Thread: This is the area where the Temple of Amenhotep, Son of Hapu, and 4 more lay. In Oct 2020 we saw archaeological work done in the area. I was interested in the outer rear of the temple, so we immediately went there #egyptology #archaeology #ancientEgypt #Luxor #excavations
The most interesting feature about this whole area, including the Temple of Ay and Horemheb, are the domestic structures from the time of Amenhotep III discovered by Robichon&Varille (ASHapu)+Hölscher (Ay-H.), cited after by Lacovara #Egyptology #Archaeology #Luxor #Egypt
We can see that structures in situ with my #GoogleEarth composition and the excavated area in the map along with my shot in October 2020 #Egyptology #Archaeology #Luxor #Egypt #ancientegypt

1)🦄 Let’s talk about unicorns. What is the real symbolism of them that we see in 👑British royalty? 🇨🇦 has them all over gvmt buildings. Scotland, home of the Freemasons love🦄. Did you know that the Bible version of the 🦄 is really a bull? Stay with me, it gets interesting. 🦄 Image
2)The unicorn is symbolic of Horus also known as Christ or the sun god. He was the son of Isis & Osiris. He is said to be born on December 25th.The occult refers to him as Christ. He is depicted in the constellations. DUMBs are based on constellations worldwide. Making sense now? ImageImageImageImage
3)Remember when the unicorn was knocked off of Buckingham Palace last fall? That is very symbolic. Now when you see the unicorn, you know it represents Horus as in Eye of Horus & the all seeing eye. This ties into the #SerpentSeed & seeds of Cain as well. ImageImageImageImage

The impressive, around 3,500 year old, unfinished obelisk in the granite quarries of Aswan, which, had it not cracked, would have been the largest monolithic (built from a single piece of stone) obelisk on earth.
41.75 meters long and would have weighed 1168 tons #ancientegypt Image
The work was discontinued when cracks in the rock convinced the engineers that the obelisk could not be extracted unbroken.

The exact date of the obelisk is not known, but it is assumed to be the Thutmoside period.

Dear Egyptology,
Egyptian Archaeology and the study of ancient Nubia *IS* Egyptology.
Egyptology is more than just texts and temples and tombs.
A thread…
#WeAreEgyptology
Recently I was a victim of the old-school out-dated idea that Egyptian Archaeology is not Egyptology. I was pinned as just a ceramics specialist, and worse still… a Nubian ceramics specialist. Apparently that's not Egyptology, but let's clear things up.
My work is about Egypto-Nubian relations, two cultures that are inextricably intertwined. Specifically I focus on the Nubians who lived and died in EGYPT, and how their identities changed as a result of contact with EGYPT & in turn how their presence impacted Egyptian society
