So my hot take on the #AndyNgoAssault. I'll be honest, I had limited knowledge on him prior to today; however, I can say that I am basing my conclusions on researching him, not long term preconceived notions.
1. Andy Ngo as a journalist. Journalism is ideally supposed to be fact-based, neutral reporting based on extensive research. The reader is able to draw their own conclusion by being given facts.
This doesn't mean a journalist article won't paint a positive/negative picture of a person/event. It means that that picture is painted by the subject itself by the facts surrounding it. Someone being heroic is due to factual heroic actions, and a villain likewise, not propaganda
