Here is my suggestion for #AnimalCrossingNewHorizions #acnh island representatives: do not overfill your island.

Pay attention to the negative space around your scenery and objects. Filling up every available square can make the whole thing muddled. [Thread?]
I am not an art major. Most of what I learned from art came from decades of watching Bob Ross on public television. Since your island is essentially an interactive landscape painting, many of those lessons still apply.
Bob always said not to kill the dark spots by filling them with detail. You need the dark to make the light shine.

Same with islands. You need empty green grass and dirt to make the cool stuff pop out. It is more pleasing to the eye.

During the localization of #AnimalCrossingNewHorizions, we joked repeatedly that we were building the next 5-10 years' worth of memes. We knew the game would be big, but we obviously couldn't have imagined the real-world circumstances of its release. (Thread)
We've never had a time like this, where safety and responsibility to one another keep us physically distant, and digital tools have taken the place of face-to-face contact.

But Zoom and Twitter and the other platforms are, by design, rather plain. Animal Crossing is different.
The AC aesthetic is cute. I've seen people here observing that even the tarantulas are cute. Even the CHAIRS are cute.

But it's more than cuteness--it's comfort. It's positivity. It's a retreat.

Wow, the new savings interest rate in #AnimalCrossingNewHorizions #ACNH is abysmal. I get that times are tough, Mr. Nook @animalcrossing, but it really isn't teaching our young folks the benefits of saving. Any chance the Animal Monetary Fund (AMF) can reconsider the rate cut?
Any before anyone starts going down the "real world" route and mentioning a lack of interest charged on loans, let me remind you that (a) this is a game, (b) loans are a game mechanic, and (c) wealth creation in #AnimalCrossing is based on RNG luck, not investments.
Wealth creation is very dependent on RNGs:

* spawn rates on bugs/fish/fossils/balloons/etc.;
* the "stalk" market which is pure gambling and no way reflects the stock market;
* gifts;
* etc.

Lack of savings =/= little reliable income source outside of fruit.
