Le moins qu'on puisse dire sur l'enfance de Louis Armstrong, c'est que ce n'était pas "La vie en rose". Né le 4 août 1901 d'une mère âgée de 16 ans, abandonné par son père dès sa naissance, il a grandit dans une extrême pauvreté, sa mère en arrivant même à se prostituer...⬇️
Élevé par sa grand-mère jusqu'à ses 6 ans, dans un quartier connu sous le nom de "Battlefield" (champ de bataille..) de la Nouvelle Orléans ségrégationniste de l'époque, il va y rencontrer une famille juive qui va tout changer : les #Karnoffskys❤️✡️

Also resinstalled the very different app, @Prghub, which has much shorter courses and as a result felt deceptive about how much you were learning. I haven't uses it in over a year for sure. They have a bunch of new courses. I'll try some-I don't know if I'll keep at it w this app

Following yesterday's violence it is important to say that no #Newcastle statues are targeted by anti racist protesters, who seek to eliminate racism not stone statues. But yday our police were targeted by anti anti-racism protesters in scenes which would disgrace any movement
Newcastle has always fought for social justice & been on the right side of history on so many great issues from Trade Unionism, to the Great Reform Bill, the Suffragettes, Civil Rights in US & South Africa to the Miners Strike. Surely we can be on the right side in this debate!
