There are two kinds of people in the world -- one, known for their remarkable words and the other known for their work. But former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee had the best of both worlds.

Remembering one of the finest PMs we ever had, the man who laid foundation for
#AtmaNirbharBharat.

Listed are few quotes by the eminent poet, leader and a statesman.
1)"Andhera Chatega, Suraj Niklega, Kamal Khilega"!
2)“Satta ka khel to chalega, sarkare aayegi..jaayegi…partiya banegi..bigadegi… Magar Ye desh rahna chahiye, is desh ka loktantra Amar
rahna chahiye”.
3) The first poem that he is believed to have written, on the Taj Mahal, revolved on the exploitation of the workers who built the monument. “Yamuna ki roti dhar vakal, kal-kal chal chal, kal-kal chal chal, jab Hindustan roya sakal, tab bana paaya Taj Mahal,”

The demand for #BogibeelBridge started in early 1960s. Even the Chinese aggression couldn't wake successive #Congress govts to move an inch towards realising people's dream of a much needed bridge.
People struggled for decades, students fought with successive Congress govts but they wont blink. Ultimately, it took the might of #AssamAgitation to take note of #BogibeelBridge demand.
1985: #Assam Accord was signed whereby #BogibeelBridge was committed by #Congress government led by then Prime Minister late #RajivGandhi. A demand - among many others - that was acknowledged after martyrdom of 855 young students of #Assam

His bigger achievements were on the economic front. .When Manmohan Singh took over from Vajpayee in 2004, the economy was in a great shape—the GDP rate was above 8 per cent, inflation was below 4 per cent and foreign exchange reserves were overflowing.

#AtalBihariVaajpayee
His most memorable achievement was the ambitious roads projects he launched—the Goldern Quadrilateral and the Pradhanmantri Gramin Sadak Yojna. The Golden Quadrilateral connected Chennai, Kolkata, Delhi and Mumbai through a network of highways

#AtalBihariVaajpayee
while the Pradhanmantri Gramin Sadak Yojna was planned as a network of all-weather roads for unconnected villages across India. Both the projects proved to be immense success and contributed to India's economic growth majorly.
