The Manhattan Project Hack: Atomic Wallet’s Nemesis
Atomic Wallet, the prominent non-custodial wallet with over 5 million users, has reportedly been subjected to an explosive cyber-attack. Users took to Twitter with some reporting complete losses of their crypto portfolios. twitter.com/i/web/status/1… Image
At the time of writing this article, speculation seems to be that the attack could be a supply chain hack. This would suggest that Atomic’s source code was tampered with on the server side with users unwittingly updating to or downloading the maliciously affected version.
While the exact details and fallout are still unclear, some users have reported losses “exceeding six figures”. This comes at a challenging time for Atomic Wallet, as they’re already under the microscope for liquidity issues with their native AWC token, and the listing of $BEN.

Today marks the 70th anniversary of Operation Hurricane: the first atmospheric test of a British #nuclear weapon in Australia. A plutonium implosion device was detonated on 3 October 1952 in Main Bay, Trimouille Island, in the Monte Bello Islands off Western Australia. THREAD Image
After the United States refused to let Britain use test sites in Nevada and Marshall Islands, the first UK atomic device was transported to Australia aboard HMS Plym. At Monte Bello the bomb was detonated inside the frigate, to simulate an enemy sailing a bomb into a British port Image
The Hurricane test had an explosive yield of 25 kilotons – larger than the blast which destroyed the Japanese city of Hiroshima. It spread contaminated debris over Trimouille Island and, as winds changed, fallout to the mainland. ImageImageImageImage

1) Lucretius argues for the existence of atoms...in 60 BC:

"Things cannot be created out of nothing or reduced to nothing. You may distrust my words since atoms cannot be seen with your eyes? Think however of all the tiny particles you do not see, but which we know must exist.."
2) "First of all the raging wind that whips the sea, overturns ships and scatters clouds. Sometimes it races across plains in a whirling tornado and knocks flat trees with a furious howl and menacing roar; all invisible particles of wind sweeping the land, sea and clouds..."
3) "Your clothes left by a surf-beaten shore grow damp. The same clothes, spread out in the sun, become dry. But did we see how the water soaked in, or how it departed with the sun's heat? The water must be distributed into tiny particles which the eyes cannot possibly see."
