A 🧵about yesterday's #BBCAntiSocial... and the RSE debate.
I’ve just listened in detail to this, which included discussion of my ICO Tribunal Appeal case. Amazingly, @adamfleming gave Sophie Whitehead of School of Sexuality Education (SSE) (which is an interested party in the Tribunal) the chance to broadcast inaccurate and negative...
...comments about me (an identifiable person), without expressing any caution or giving me a right to reply - even when Sophie Whitehead suggested I was acting in “bad faith”.

Talking about LTN’s and 15 minute cities on #BBCAntiSocial, Radio 4 today with presenter @adamfleming - the podcast should be out in an hour or two if you missed it. It got quite heated with @alanvibe 😳😳😳

We agreed at the end to go for a coffee! ☕️ … 1/3
Shout out to the wonderful human who booked me, @justoctavia who’s amazing … 2/3
Super lush to be at Radio 4 in Westminster! It felt a bit like the book when Peppa Pig went to London- I can’t believe I’m here doing this! … 3/3

1/ Interesting #antisocial on @BBCRadio4 w/ @adamfleming, @mocost, Rachel Winder, others on #neurodiversity (bbc.co.uk/programmes/m00…). It relates to our recent work on ‘perceptual diversity’, and our attempt to measure it with #ThePerceptionCensus perceptioncensus.dreamachine.world
2/ Why use a different term ‘perceptual diversity’? The original definition of neurodiversity from @singer_judy, rightly emphasised that *everyone* is different and that differences are not deficits. So there is no single ‘neurotypical’ ‘textbook’ brain (as @mocost said). But:
3/ The term neurodiversity has tended to become associated with neurodivergent conditions, such as autism and ADHD – as evidenced by the focus on these conditions in @adamfleming’s programme.

Yesterday I went @BBCRadio4 #BBCAntiSocial to discuss fast fashion and to be honest I wish I hadn't. The conversation left me feeling drained and angry. Every single person on the show was white except for me, largely missing the race element of the conversation.
@BBCRadio4 Today I have a lot of thoughts about going on #BBCAntiSocial. I felt bullshitted from the start especially when the show opened with one of my tweets taken completely out of context. Like if you're going to use the tweet, explain the context or pick something with nuance.
I generally do NOT do fast fashion debates BECAUSE what right do we have "dEbAtInG" the human rights of others. That is some privileged global north fuckery. But the producer assured me it wasn't going to be like that. I wish I hadn't gone on #BBCAntiSocial.
