But first some key points

There is no Definition of Multiyear breakouts. But if the stock breaks out of its range or any other pattern after 5+ years then it can be considered as multiyear breakout.

...
Usually this kind of breakout happens due to tailwinds in some sector or due to the disruption in the sector.

For eg: last year due to covid-19, Pharma sector co’s created huge wealth for their investors.
Also look at the IT sector specifically those involved in data related business or AI or ML or any high tech apps, this sector is also getting hot, along with API’s, chemicals and energy sector for next wave of disruption.

There are 4⃣ type of #BREAKOUTS

1⃣ Breakout with no retest
2⃣ Breakout with a re-test
3⃣ Breakout with a hard re-test
4⃣ Failed breakout.

We Will Explain it one by one with examples. Kindly Retweet it if you find it useful. #Nifty
1⃣ Breakout With No Retest.
In this type of breakout, your stop loss becomes the lower boundary and your target is the depth of the boundary (712-614) = 98 points. Thus target becomes 712 + 98 = 810. Which gets achieved! Image
2⃣ Breakout With A Re-test.
In this type of Breakout we see the stock retesting its breakout and beginning it's upward journey again. We base target in this on the height of the triangle added or subtracted from the breakout price.

1⃣ Breakout without any retest

If you have a stop-loss placed below the chart pattern boundary, this is the easiest to trade. Following the breakout your stop-loss will no be challenged and price target will be met.

2⃣ Breakout with a re-test

If you have a stop-loss placed below the chart pattern boundary, this type of trade may test your patience but still will not challenge your protective stop-loss. Chart pattern boundary will even offer a new entry opportunity.
