At 1:47 he says Netflix is spending $1 billion in Canada each year. That does not strike me as accurate (the panel report also doubled Netflix actual revenue in Canada). But if it is, why is there a need to regulate a massive contributor to Canadian production? (2/5)
At 3:35, @s_guilbeault is asked about all benefits broadcasters and BDU get in the Canadian system that Netflix doesn’t get. So why regulated same way? Rather than answering, he flips to ad revenues generated by Google and Facebook. Netflix does not feature ads. Non-answer. 3/5)
