La virologie ne sort pas de nulle part, elle s'est établie sur 100 ans d'observations. En science, l'hypothèse qui fonctionne le mieux gagne. Si on veut prouver que c'est faux, il faut DEMONTRER votre nouvelle hypothèse pour expliquer les données observées mieux que l'ancienne.⏬
Mais Kaufman, Cowan etc ne le font jamais. Ils disent seulement que les méthodes d'observation de virologie ne suivent pas LEURS standards. Ca me rappelle les nofake qui disent que seules les études randomisées sont acceptables. Mais c'est faux. Alors quels sont les arguments?⏬

There has been a long history of studying bacteria and their viral symbionts, #bacteriophages. In #ecology and #evolution, they've been workhorse systems for studying host-parasite interactions for many years (3/n)

The technique was originally developed for #Bacteriophages bit was adapted by Dulbecco in 1952 for animal #viruses. Viral stocks are dilutes 10 fold in series and placed onto a monolayer. After incubation a gel is placed on the layer, restricting infection to nearby cells
