A #BRILLIANT move by the @FinMinIndia hit 4 birds with one stone by introducing 3 changes in the Finance Bill. The 3 birds..
1) Higher Tax Collections
2) Capital Controls
3) Bank Deposits
4) Lower cost of Govt funding.
But will HURT GROWTH. Long #THREAD
What are the changes
1) End of LTCG on #debt, Gold ETFs, Overseas or Any mutual fund that invests in less than 35% india equity bought after 1 Apr-23
2) STT Raised by 25%
3) Tax Collected at Source (TCS) raised to 20% (5% earlier) & threshold reduced to Zero (Rs7 lac earlier)
TRIGGER POINT: The Banking system is facing a shortage of liquidity => PRIMARY motive for the Changes in the Finance Bill in my opinion.

WHAT CAUSED THE LIQUIDITY CRUNCH? Weak Deposit growth vs credit growth.... also reflected in rising Credit/Deposit ratio ImageImage

🚨"Bajaj Finance's Exceptional Q3: 40% Net Profit Growth, A New Record"🚀

Key Takeaways of Bajaj Finance's Q3 Result in this🧵

1) Net profit rose by 40% from the previous year, totaling 2,973 crores.

#BajajFinance #bajaj_finance
2) Bajaj Finance made 24% more money from net interest income compared to last year which is a very big positive.

NBFCs make money by charging more interest on loans they give out than the interest they pay to borrow money from other financial institutions or people.
3) Bajaj Finance's NPA ratio stands at 1.14% which is considered very low.

NBFC keep track of the money that people don't pay back by using a number called NPA. A lower NPA number means that the NBFC is able to get most of its money back from the people who borrowed it.

Why did Bajaj Finance shares fall over 8% value dip by over Rs 500?

Is this an 😨indication of an upcoming market crash?

Check out 👇why the stock crashed and what investors need to do now.

A THREAD ...🧵 Image
1 -First, Let’s look at Bajaj Finance :

- On Thursday Shares of Bajaj Finance were Rs 119.25 lower at Rs 5,980.60 on BSE.

- The losses continued for 2nd session.

- It is now below Rs 6000 mark,

- Which is the lowest since July 2022.
2 - Why it is happening?

Reasons:

- Less growth in loan distribution than expected.

- Since, it depends on loan interest.
- Less loan= less growth.
- AUM Growth = 27% yearly; 6% quarterly.

- Despite having a festive season, demand is low.

🧵on Relative Strength Index (RSI), one of the widely used Indicator in technical analysis by traders.

I am sharing:
1. Intro and the birth of RSI
2. What info RSI indicates
3. Application of RSI with chart patterns
4. Support/Resistance in RSI
5. Range Shift
6. Divergence
2/n
The concept of RSI was first introduced in the book “New Concepts in Technical Trading Systems.” By J. Welles Wilder Jr. Most of us get so attracted to the indicator itself we forget to study the background of Scientists and how the indicator got its life.
3/n
Understanding the psychology of the researcher is way more important than the indicator itself. Because indicator is the reflection of researcher’s personality and what they are looking into the markets (and charts).

Big news came in that #BajajFinance has been granted authorisation to issue pre-paid instruments.

What are pre-paid istruments and what it means for @Bajaj_Finance ? Let's learn in the thread below. 🧵
What are PPIs?

RBI as per under the Payment and Settlement Act, 2005 defined Prepaid Payment Instruments as instruments of payment that facilitate buying of goods and services, including the transfer of funds against the value stored within or on the instrument.
The value stored in the instrument is represented by the value that has already been paid for by the holder or the instrument by any method such as, by cash, by debit from a bank account, credit card or even from other PPIs.

I believe #ratio #charts are one of the most underrated and underutilized tools in #technicalanalysis. Do you agree?
Ever wondered which stock to chose between the two?

#HDFC or #HDFCBank?
#TCS or #Infosys?
#HeroMoto or #BajajAuto?
#ACC or #Ambuja?
#BPCL or #HPCL?
#BajajFinserv or #Bajajfinance?

But don't know whats the best approach to pick one?
#Ratio #charts can help you identify the best stock for #trading and #investment. You can plot a #ratiochart by dividing the price on one stock with another. Its preferable to divide the high priced stock with low priced one to get ratios greater than 1.

Market has given me many lessons. It tells me to set aside my ego. Never get married to your stocks. Whenever you are going to buy a stock , make a clear mindset about it. Is it for investing or trading. Never jump between these two based on stock price movement.#marketstrategy
When you have bought a stock for trading based on technicals or your any strategy, always have a stoploss based on that strategy. Most important thing is to respect stoploss and humbly accept loss. You can't be right everytime.
If you respect stoploss, there are very high chances that you will end up making money overall (considering you have done your homework). If your success ratio is 33% then also you can be on profitable side. Lose less by respecting stoploss and make big on positive bets.

My thread on #Bajajfinance stock - Company analysis, Segments, Valuation by inbuilt Growth vs RoR and Intrinsic valuation by Excess returns model. This involves a lot of assumptions and rationale (I may be wrong in my assumptions) #Stockanalysis #Stockvaluation
This is for academic purpose and not a recommendation, Purpose to share and highlight how to go about analysing and valuing a NBFC. I have not used the traditional DCF model because its not recommended to value Banks/NBFCs through DCF model
Business analysis - Below are the business segments of Bajaj Finance and classification of what these segments do?

#BajajFinance is falling based its loan book which is 90% unsecured. As per experts it would be difficult to collect. Let's clarify few things.
1) Bajaj Finance loan book consists of customers of the avg #Cibil score is 750. They don't approve anything below 700 at all.... (1)
2) The customer repayment may not hit hard since since the avg EMI is not more than Rs:5000/-(approx)
3) In current scenario the customer default would be limited since the Cibil plays a major role in customer credit worthiness

3) It has a mkt share of 72% consumer finance and..
And at current scenario ( last one year sales Cash vs Finance) the sales thru finance contributes 50% of the total sales in major segments.
4) The collection process of Bajaj is far stronger compared to its nearest competitor interns of infra and manpower.

#TweetStorm - Expensive or deserves to be Expensive ? 1)One thumb rule for screening expensive companies is Market Cap to Sales or Enterprise Value to Sales. A 10x or more is generally expensive unless the company can grow sales rapidly or has extremely high Net Profit Margins.
2)Another way to look at expensive is if the Market Cap is equal to the Total Sales of the Addressable Market Size. This would lead to company having to launch different products in the future.
3)May not be the approach to take a Sell Decision or a Short Sell Decision. Very few companies can command such high valuations. Thumb Rule is just to review the investment thesis and the quality of the business. If doubts on quality , get out.
