1/ Jamie says that there will be downtime on the Optimism network during the upgrade and to prepare for the upgrade, Perpetual Protocol will be paused half an hour prior to the upgrade.
2/ He says that traders can look forward to cheaper gas costs after the upgrade, with costs expected to be reduced by about 10%. He says that the upgrade will result in shorter wait times when bridging funds to Optimism; from the current wait time of 10 mins to about 3 mins.

目前Rollup 赛道已经有不少项目上线主网（如 @arbitrum @zksync @MetisDAO ），但它们都存在一些不可忽略的问题：
1) EVM 兼容性；虽然一些基于OP 的Rollup 方案实现了EVM等效性，但EVM兼容/等效并不意味着项目能够无缝迁移，项目方仍然需要进行或多或少的代码调整。

The hill in the middle of the new highway 102/103 interchange was built to prevent acid rock drainage. The hill is excavated rock that is prone to ARD. It’s covered with a liner, dirt and eventually grass. This prevents air reaching the sulfides that cause ARD.

Acid rock drainage can occur at excavations like #mining or #construction. It can even be caused naturally, i.e. by a landslide. Most ARD in #NovaScotia is caused by construction because much of the #bedrock around #Halifax is prone to it.
