Small thread: some of you have asked us what the terms #whitehat, #greyhat, and #blackhat mean so I decided to do a small thread explaining what we mean by that. In the IC world, these terms are used to describe #hackers and their purposes. In #hacking circles and the ICs, there
the term #whitehat refers to a #hacker who #hacks for good reasons (I.e., counterterrorism, taking down child porn websites, etc.). White hat hackers ONLY hack to help people. #Greyhat hackers refers to hackers who hack for good purposes mostly, but may also hack innocent people
for kicks or because they don’t like them. #Blackhat hackers refer to those who hack for nefarious reasons, such as, taking pictures of a target while showering or changing, spying on a target and doxxing their messages, taking their websites or social media platforms down, etc.
I highly suspect the biggest revelation of the DOJ IG's report when it drops on Jan. 15th is gong to be pulling back the curtain on the power struggle between the White Hats and the Black Hats inside the DOJ.
Not only did a clique of black hats doing political fixing for Democrats like Hillary Clinton & her aides turn it attention to trying to manufacture scandals for the incoming Trump White House, there's a new White Hat faction that's been investigating them since last January.
The #BlackHatClique inside the DOJ not only cooked up the use of the dossier to manufacture a Trump/Russia collusion scandal/investigation, it's looking increasingly like they attempted to frame Trump's incoming NSA, Gen. Michael Flynn.
