Happy New Year to all of my Twitter friends! One of my goals this year is to expand my business in financial education & planning for 2 reasons.

1. I want to build my savings for my upcoming move for grad school

2. I want to help as many people in the US and Canada as I can šŸ§µ
Tomorrow at 9am PST, my business will be hosting an open house where you will learn who we are, what we do and what might be in it for you.

If you are looking for an opportunity, you need no experience just a will to learn along with integrity.

If you want to plan for your
financial goals, we provide financial needs analysis and ongoing support at no hourly cost. I have gotten so much value in now having an emergency fund for the first time in working with my financial coach who I consider a mentor

I realize that as a Black Disabled woman, I canā€™t

I just have a couple of last thoughts before signing out friends!

#BlackinMH Week has been an incredible outpouring of love, community, solidarity, and idea-sharing. And I am sad to see it end, however, it has really lifted my spirits.
I hope that this community will take time to engage with this incredible community of mental health professionals. We had social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, OTs, therapists, and more joined us this week! I learned so much about all the #BiMHFields #BIMHRollCall
There is some incredible research coming from this group focused on the well-being and care of Black people. For so long we have been overlooked in research and it is so amazing to see ourselves being represented! (i'm a research nerd). #BiMHResearch

Might I make a few suggestions...

You should absolutely follow all the co-organizers. This amazing collective of people have been so incredible.

You should ABSOLUTELY be following the @BlackInMH page to stay up to date on all the amazing things folks in the movement are doing!

All that to say, Iā€™m not looking forward to having to ā€œfakeā€ being okay in the spaces Iā€™ll be in tomorrow šŸ„“
Being #blackinmh for me looks like the compartmentalization of my feelings to be able to do the work that needs to be done, to help those in need, to show up for the cause...
Is that healthy? Nope. Will I take time to really process and grieve? Yes, but not today. And probably not tomorrow either.

Last thing I wanted to say and that I will keep saying is there are so MANY ways to be #BlackinMH !
You can be what people ā€œtraditionallyā€ think of when they think of mental health - like psychiatrists, clinical and counseling psychologists, social workers, marriage and family therpists, counselors, etc.
But there are also nurses, researchers, occupational therapists, public health officials, school psychologists, data scientists, and more!

I probably should introduce myself! Hi, I am Tanesha and I am a co-organizer for #BlackInMH Week! I am a 3rd year clinical psychology doctoral student! I am super excited to be taking over the RealScientists Page today!
So if you don't have time to read the lovely interview about me [link.medium.com/IUIZkZXlV9] I will give you the short version. I am interesting in researching how racial discrimination and socioeconomic status impact mental health outcomes (both positive and negative aspects).
As we know, racial discrimination and racism as a whole SEVERELY impacts a person's mental and physical health. I want to understand how a person's socioeconomic status (SES) changes that impact. Due to my own personal experiences with SES mobility.

First #BlackSelfCareShare tip of the week - one way to improve your mental health is by improving your sleep hygiene!
Getting good sleep is important for both physical and mental health! Everyone can benefit from better sleep. Here are some tips to get better rest! #sleepisimportant!
Tip #1 - Develop a consistent 30 minutes MAX ā€œbedtimeā€routine - this can look like reading a good book, taking a bath, brushing teeth or even mediating right before bed.
