10 minutes in. Good news: it cannot be called the worst movie ever made in a world where Indiana Jones-4 exists.
Bad news: it's the worst movie ever made.

Where do I start?.. Hey, let's start in the beginning, as the scriptwriter, undoubtedly chained to a concrete chair with the words "MAKE IT AS AMERICAN AS POSSIBLE" written in blood on all the walls of his windowless room, decided to begin in the most American of all states.

OK, so they are clumsily rewriting The Americans plot, but with 1000 billion fewer brain cells involved. Fine, I don't care. But here we are, as the Jennings family is forced to... gasp... leave America.
So, let me tell you a little about hamfisted scenes.

Okay, so the first movie I'm going to be talking about on this Twitter page is #BlackWidow. I saw this movie a little more than a week ago in theaters, and to say the least my expectations were exceeded. (1/11)

After the events of Avengers: Endgame, a movie about Black Widow seemed a little odd, if not unnecessary. When it was announced that this project would be a prequel, I think everyone lost a little bit of excitement for it. I know I did. (2/11)

I personally thought that this film wouldn't really have anything much to add to the MCU, and would just be another story about an action hero kicking butt. There was lots of that, of course, but the movie turned out to be so much more than that. (3/11)

Personal trainer Eric Johnson shares how he helped Scarlett get in shape to play #BlackWidow.

Scarlett Johansson has portrayed the Black Widow character in Marvel films for over a decade.

But when she first got the role in 2009, Scarlett said had never stepped foot in a gym.

So she began meeting with celebrity personal trainer, Eric Johnson.

To help prepare Scarlett for the role, they agreed to focus on strength and functional movement, rather than looks.

“We want to prepare the actor for anything that’s thrown at them, so they can do what they do best, and that’s act,” Eric explained.

Just watched #BlackWidow and I must say, it is SO MUCH BETTER than I thought it would be.
Trailers didn’t do this film justice. I had a such great time watching it.
I’ve never seen an almost entirely women led film with so much cool action. But also lots of emotional stuff. 1/6

It’s so funny that #BlackWidow ironically is the immediate release after #F9, as this one is all about the importance of family as well, for good or bad. And Family is literally the best part of BW. I loved the dynamics between all characters (the trailers sold it so poorly) 2/6

The opening sequence is emotional and wonderful. Loved the children.
1st 2 acts are wonderful. I LOVED them.
But, as in 2017 #WonderWoman, the weakest part of #BlackWidow is the 3rd act. It didn’t bother me that much, but you can clearly see the discrepancy, which is a shame. 3/6

So I’m going to start a weekly MCU thread for every show/movie coming out this year. This week we’ll go over #WandaVision episodes 1&2. If you haven’t watched yet, please ignore.

SPOILERS AHEAD. If you’re not familiar with the overall premise of Wandavision, it takes place post Endgame & each episode will visit a new era in TV. So far episode 1 was influenced by the 50’s and The Dick Van Dyke Show/I Love Lucy. Episode 2 was influenced by Bewitched.

We know that this series takes place in 2023 and we’re in a 50s and 60s setting with Wanda and Vision (who is dead). Means 1 or 2 things. Wanda’s psyche is fractured after all of her loss and she’s created a new reality to cope...or Nightmare or Mephisto are influencing her.

Re-watching #AvengersEndgame. The #MCU made a lot of fantastic story decisions... but the gutting of #BlackWidow’s character over the course of a few movies is indefensible.

And her fate in Endgame is mind-bogglingly dumb. And largely unnecessary.

In terms of story, Black Widow is one of the most important characters in the #MCU. She does so much heavy lifting, from exposition to emotional stakes.
