In lead-up to upcoming Twitter Space at 6pm EST about 🇺🇦fundraiser we are about to launch, I thought I’d take a few minutes to tell you about me, being an artist on Twitter for more than a decade, & how the war in 🇺🇦 has shaped me since 24/2/22. 1/
2/ I came to Twitter to discover ppl curious about #GraphicNovels, #BobDylan, #artistbooks as my work on my collaborative (w my daughter) GN “Long Time Gone” following its exhibition at @massmoca in 2008. I connected with my heroes like @1michaelgray1. It was great.
3/ later, I began work on an 8 year project to make a new edition of #Dante’s #DivineComedy. I hand-lettered entire poem in Italian (from 3 different MS sources) & illustrated every page. Published in 3 languages (IT/English/German) in 2021. kickstarter.com/projects/newdi…

Dylan em Duluth! Acontece hoje, às 15h (horário de Brasília), as comemorações dos 80 anos de #BobDylan em frente à casa onde ele morou até os seis anos, no interior do estado de Minnesota.

A casa em Duluth foi comprada por um superfã de #BobDylan, o farmacista aposentado Bill Pagel. Ele disse à @Folha que pagou US$ 82 mil pela residência após achá-la no eBay. A ideia é transformá-la em museu.

Pagel está restaurando a casa em #Duluth e fez um tour com a reportagem da @Folha. Ele contou como conseguiu comprar de um vizinho amigo da família de Dylan o cadeirão que o pequeno Robert Zimmerman usava para comer.

Today marks the 55th anniversary of an important #BobDylan gig at the Berkeley Community Theater in Berkeley, CA. The 22 February 1964 performance was a triumph and helped propel Dylan to stardom. No recording survives but here's some ephemera and notes to mark the occasion.
The performance came at the tail end of a road trip Dylan took with Paul Clayton, Victor Maimudes, and Pete Karmen that included stops to support striking miners, visit Carl Sandburg, party in New Orleans for Mardi Gras, see Dealey Plaza, and perform a small number of shows.
Billed as Dylan's first show in the San Francisco Bay Area, Berkeley was not his first performance on the west coast. Nine months earlier, on 18 May 1963, Dylan (from Gallup, NM!) appeared at the Monterey Folk Festival. He played four songs, including one with Joan Baez.
