The one thing to take away from this thread is this - All tweets are public interactions. Not only are they interactions with the public, but tweets are also public information. A social media rep speaks on behalf of the organisation. Keep personal opinions for personal accounts
Write full sentences but be as brief as possible. Only use commonly known abbreviations - if necessary, expand them. Do not use too much scientific jargon - remember you are reaching out to the general public, not a group of scientists.
