Hey did you know it is #BrainInjuryAwarenessMonth? It seems like every year we become more aware of how life changing brain injuries can be and long term impact. They are also often invisible, it isn't obvious who has one. Be kind and compassionate. They're life changing.
I was in an accident in my early 20s & suffered a head injury. Had no idea how things would change. Blinding migraines that run for days (still years later), difficulty remembering things, loss of coordination & grip strength. I hate putting this out there but awareness matters.
It's great to see the incredible research being done and the greater awareness out there on brain health. A lot more still needed but we've come a long way from where we were.
