15 yrs ago, while hiking on my own, I was violently assaulted & raped. Every anniversary, I go for a solo hike to remind myself I can still do it, that there is great beauty to be found, even after trauma. Here’s today’s hike. And my essay I always post 👉tinyurl.com/482k67e9 ImageImage

«Because they never learn from their previous disastrous experiences, are never bothered by massive deaths of the people of #Tigray about whom they pretend to care, & the only thing they care about is their hunger for power, #TPLF are now beating the war drums for the 3rd time.»
«In #Ethiopia, #TPLF's lust for power has as its aim to control again Welkait, Tegede & Humera, where they've committed genocide in their 27 years of misrule, & to open the corridor to the #Sudan, thereby plunging the country into chaos & disintegration.»

@GavinNewsom The program "Keep Your Home California" was a life saver and a home saver until it ran out of funding. If california cared about the homeless crisis more focus should be put on programs like this that actually save homes and prevent adding to the homeless pop
that you already struggle to help us tackle. Stop allowing investors and lenders to half ass their "help" for homeowners and offer real help for underwater mortgage holders now..We matter, our families matter, veterans deserve better.
Stop foreclosures now. Listen to and tell our story and the growing list of veteran families who need you to do your job and protect them. Lenders, investors and the US govt need to investigate the underwater VA mortgages and talk to us VA homeowners..

“Nobody listened. Nobody cared”

A cry for help from Ifeoma Blossom Joy Obiora, a 27 year old mother who put out this and other statements that appeared to be a suicide note via her face book page to draw attention to her plight at the hand of the husband Onyebuchi Obiorah,
a Motor parts dealer at Nnewi. Both parties hail from Nnewi.

She is in danger, currently locked in with her abuser. We tried to reach out to people to check on her following her Facebook post.
We have been working our phones and when we thought help had come and four policemen
sent on rescue to her.
The worst happened, that despite her plea the police officers started blaming her for crying out for help after narrating her ordeal and the physical and mental torture.

The husband assaulted her right while police officers were trying to gain entrance.

I’ve had to pause this photo-diary of Cambridge over recent days, put my camera down and restrict what I do until I can feel safe. The CamDiary photo project which evolved out of a published written diary over 13 years ago is being halted. Black and white photo of the Senate House, University of Cambridge.
Over 11 thousand Cambridge photos with over 13 million views since 2007 - flickr.com/photos/camdiar…
Before I consider completely ending this photo project (I would prefer to continue it) and contemplate my future in Cambridge I am #breakingthesilence for the sake of my children and grandchildren. I have never discussed these painful topics before.

On the alleged Rapist. The following day we took the victim to to the hospital for medical examination and the doctor confirmed that she was indeed raped. That same morning we started receiving calls from the area commander, and the inspector in charge of the case begging us to
bring the victim for negotiation, the victim vehemently refused. Subsequently, they requested that the victim comes for interview with the area commander. We kindly told them that the victim will be available the following day since she was still very much down and in trauma

Okay here I come @One_Sexy_Missus & co.
My MCM Emir has ruffled the feathers once more & as expected the dragging begins.
Yes! His highness has demystified that age old royal stool by refusing to be mute in a society bedevilled by all sorts of vices but hell bent on silence.
A silence that has sustained an artificial normalcy within and outside the region. A silence that has stalled any form of criticism within & outside the people.
Many ask he is more audio than active. You want to see him build classrooms and sponsor 100 girls abi?
MSII is smarter than that and aspires for more. Schools for girls & sponsorship of girls is a drop of bleach in an ocean of blood.
Those having analytical minds understand what SLS is trying to do. His aspiration is a North wide revolution, a North wide reform from all spheres.

We live in a society where stigma keeps many people from seeking help & treatment for themselves and stops others from talking about it. We need to change the culture around mental health & suicide, look out for one another, show compassion & have each others backs. Always!
I personally know that a simple message to someone who is struggling can literally save their life. So if you know of anyone whether that be a friend, colleague or someone else that may be feeling down or distressed please reach out.
