Howard talks about his Dutch brother-in-law who’s lived & worked in the UK for 35 yrs and feels the referendum has removed his identity. Howard has seen the huge emotional impact this has had on him, and also on a friend who’s lived here for over 40 yrs. #BrexitIsPersonal /1

On Monday I am (probably) in national press & on TV talking about how, despite being stable, capable & mostly happy for 15 yrs after spending my 20s in psychiatric care, the unbearable shiteness of Brexit made my suicidal thoughts re-emerge.

#MakeItStop #FinalSay
I'm a lot better this year but last year was particularly difficult.
There were a couple of incidents that could've gone badly but thankfully didn't.

I'm really struggling to see why we are just letting this be done in our name when it will only make things worse for most of us
I'm hoping people will agree that it's not me that's crazy, simply that #BrexitIsBonkers.
Hoping that people just don't see how damaging this path will be to anyone who isn't tax-dodging profiteer.
That they haven't seen the impact Brexit is already having on us & our neighbours.

John @john196201 explains how Brexit's already had an impact on his dental practice. Working ethically, along with the fall in the pound, means he's already taken a huge financial hit. He fears far worse is to come, as vital medical supplies become scarcer. #BrexitIsPersonal /1

I am a scientist and #OneOfThe3Million EU citizens in the UK. #FOM has been essential, both for my professional career, as well as my personal life. It has allowed me to live, work, and build personal relationships with people from all over Europe. To me, #BrexitIsPersonal. 1/10
More than that though, #Brexit is about who we are as people & country: do we celebrate diversity and internationality, or do we hide away from the wider world, alone behind a wall? 2/10
May's witch-hunt against non-UK citizens (which started while she was in the HO where she implemented the #HostileEnvironment) is inexcusable and misguided. It needlessly constricted her negotiation space with the EU, resulting in the damaging deal currently on the table. 3/10

I've spent the last 2.5 years in a horrible place and no, I'm not talking about Birmingham - in fact, I love where I live, in the place many seem to fear most, a truly multicultural neighbourhood, it's part of why I fight so hard.

We voted Remain btw
When the referendum came I wasn't paying attention to the world, I was just hanging out with my 3yo child, who was going to start school that autumn.
It was our last Spring of hanging out together.
I read around all the arguments for Leave but in my view the EU is not our enemy
In fact, my experience of the EU has been very positive as previously I worked in Home & Child Safety promotion and before that set up a small business in event services with the help of EU regional development funds.
Plus I have lived in Germany, my friends & family are European

Here are 200+ reasons, left from the #MayWallOfShame on the wall in my study, that tell you why I am so profoundly angry tonight. 200+ out of #The5Million. All of you are why I do what I do. And next I will do more in #Bath this Saturday. I hope to meet many of your there. 1/
Meet you there either for my next #EUcitizensChampion event in central Bath (details tbc). Or later on in the day at the next @FinalSayForAll Beehive to bear why #BrexitIsPersonal to do many of you. Details here: eventbrite.co.uk/e/fsfabeehive-… 2/
I end tonight by telling myself something I told others on Parliament Square only last week: courage calls to courage everywhere. Listen to the call — and keep pushing. 3/3

I'm sure many of you already follow the brilliant @FinalSayForAll. Tonight they have launched the first Beehive clip - stories told by people from all over the UK and EU about why #BrexitIsPersonal to them. First up is @GuitarMoog, but many more are to come. Check it out! 1/
And make sure to keep an eye on new ones as so many clips have been recorded in so many places, from London to Brussels to Edinburgh and many more. 2/
Let me end with a personal note: this is a good moment for me to say thank you again for the incredible help so many from Final Say for All have given me this year for my #EUcitizensChampion Campaign. Could not have done it without them xx 3/3

For 860+ days now #The5Million of us - that is all of us @The3Million at home in the UK & all @BritishInEurope - have stood together for our rights. As the UK govt's endgame has come, please come stand with us next Monday for the #LastMile we have to go to secure our future. 1/ Image of Tanja Bueltmann, one of the five million - five million is the rough combined number of EU citizens who live in the UK and British citizens who live in an EU country.
Come join me for the human chain to Downing St and the rally on Parliament Sq, where I and others will reclaim our voice - the voice this govt, many politicians and commentators, continue to deny us to this day. There will also be a lobby. Full details: 2/
While many will join the lobby, I will then be doing another #EUcitizensChampion awareness activity together with the lovely @_anjaheilmann in central London. Details on Monday. If you are in London, I hope to see you there, but as always you'll also be able to join in online. 3/

A year ago today this was my view from the path up to Stac Pollaidh. Today I find myself in the reality that I’ve just left hospital after treatment for something that could quite easily have ended in my death had it not been discovered. What a difference a year makes ... 1/
And I cannot even begin to tell you how it felt that, by pure coincidence, that should happen right after this message the other day ... 2/
But as I’ve discovered, the impact of such a scare isn’t automatically all negative: it does help focus the mind! So I want to do a little bit of that here too because I know how many of you are currently struggling with exactly that loss of focus. 3/

I am #OneOfThe5Million and #BrexitIsPersonal. Almost 30 yrs ago my then wife and I packed up our belongings and moved with our six months old baby, to a village in the Gaeltach at the edge of Europe in the far west of Ireland. 1/12
Two more babies followed and all three became bi-lingual in Irish and English. We left that beautiful splinter of rock thrust into the Atlantic 11 yrs later for another beautiful place, Guéthary in the French Basque country 2/12
As our children progressed through maternelle, primaire, college and Lycée they became French for practical purposes. Over the next 15 yrs the children left for university in the UK and I was delighted I had been able to give them such a culturally rich upbringing. 3/11

I’m still in Brussels and today it’s all about raising awareness for the serious threats still faced by @The3Million & @BritishInEurope. That’s FIVE million people! And to all of us #BrexitIsPersonal. Please join me in telling your story here today as #OneOfThe5Million 1/
So I am #OneOfThe5Million and to me #BrexitIsPersonal not only because of the immediate impact it has on my rights—I have to apply to stay in my own home—but also because of the significant personal cost standing up to it has had. 2/
Please join in on Twitter throughout the day using #BrexitIsPersonal & #OneOfThe5Million ... And watch this space later to learn what I’m up to. 3/3

As some of you already know, I'm 1/3 of the board of the Final Say For All Foundation, along with @grrrahh & @MintyTeaboy. We're closely supported by @Shieldmaid8 & @GuitarMoog. With growing support for a people's vote, I'd like to explain why it must be a @FinalSayForAll 1/
In the 2016 referendum #The5Million most directly affected were excluded from voting. This must not be allowed to happen again in any new vote that has such a direct impact on our lives. 2/
Let's first remind ourselves why it was decided to exclude #The5Million. EU27 in the UK were excluded on the grounds of citizenship. UK in the EU for 15+ years, were excluded on the grounds of residency. 3/

Last year, when I was really suicidal because #BrexitReality has unbalanced me, I made this petition to David Davis asking for a FinalSay.
you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/meas…

I'm grateful to everyone who signed up, but it made no difference & I nearly gave up.
Rumble strips are a godsend.
I'm OK but I must fight those feelings of helplessness every single day.
#BrexitIsPersonal

Then there was another #FinalSay petition on @HocPetitions petition that, despite @DExEUgov trying to reject it, went to (great) debate in December 2017.

@HoCpetitions @DExEUgov How much longer do we need to wait until we all accept that we need to put the brakes on & check Brexit?

We'll never be United Kingdom without #FinalSay

It's a result we can all respect, however it turns out

Better safe than sorry

Look before we Leave

For those denied a vote in the EU referendum, #BrexitIsPersonal. We will continue to give a voice to those denied a say in their futures, and already affected by Brexit. Any future votes must include a #FinalSayForAll, and an #OptionToStay. Here’s how we hope to achieve this.
FinalSayForAll was founded by Bloke From Barnsley @Nickynoo007, John Ling @grrrahh and Michael Moss @MintyTeaboy, three British citizens who were concerned about the 5 million citizens both in the UK and the EU who were denied a vote in the EU referendum of 2016.
They met many people across social media who had very personal stories to tell, who felt that their voices were being drowned out by rallying cries of British independence and taking back control. Their lives have been turned upside down against their will.

Exactly! This is the kind of thing that needs to happen throughout the UK now. Stalls are a good thing, the #PeoplesVoteMarch was amazing. But it’s not enough and neither is waiting till party conferences etc. Make no mistake: the next three months are absolutely critical 1/
And so no time can be wasted. So talk to local groups and get some things off the ground that are bigger and not the traditional stuff. If you haven’t been so involved, now is the time to become involved. My advice is to focus on one and one thing only: that #BrexitIsPersonal 2/
And if you’re wondering why I’m so happily lecturing everyone on doing stuff rather than do that stuff: watch this space ...

Brexit, all that’s happened since June 2016, has no benefits. But after #PeoplesVoteMarch let me say that I consider it my privilege to have been able to meet so many amazing people because of Brexit. They are what keeps me going. All of you are. Together we can #StopBrexit 1/
So here’s a little walk down memory lane, as it were ... told through some events, activities ... and wonderful people. 2/
24 June 2016 ... it was a sad day. But still the message is unchanged ❤️ 3/
