2/@January6thCmte had daunting task. Attacked relentlessly bc of politics. @HouseGOP declined involvement to its discredit. Two @GOP Members @RepLizCheney @RepKinzinger served to their credit & political downfall (short-term at least).

1/#Whistleblower #BrianMurphy's scheduled deposition before #HPSCI tomorrow has been postponed due to @DHSgov declining to grant me one-time, limited access to TS/SCI info. Without legal protection, Mr. Murphy is unable to attend but desires to do so.

2/DHS could easily approve me for one-time, limited access to TS/SCI so that I could participate in classified #whistleblower deposition. It happens all the time, including in my own past cases. Republican Administrations do it. Democrat Administrations do it.
END/That Trump Administration is refusing to do so speaks volumes. #BrianMurphy, a lawful #whistleblower, has classified information to provide to appropriate oversight authorities in accordance w/law. To say he has no "need to know", a subjective factual determination, is a joke

2/Murphy is highest ranking #WBer in decades, perhaps ever, and faces potential retaliation. Effective legal representation is crucial to protecting lawful #whistleblowers & everyone, to incl USGOVT, should support this premise.
3/It is a simple matter for @DHSgov to allow legal counsel to participate in classified proceedings, even on limited basis. I have had it happen in past cases, so one must question why DHS is obstructing a #whistleblower from revealing alleged misconduct of its top officials.

2/Earlier this week, our client Brian Murphy, a member of the Senior Executive Service at the Department of Homeland Security (“DHS”), filed a whistleblower complaint dated September 8, 2020, with the Department’s Office of Inspector General.
3/The complaint alleges multiple protected disclosures of alleged wrongdoing by various DHS officials at the senior levels. A copy of the complaint was also transmitted to the relevant Congressional oversight authorities.
