In view of the current circumstances we have found ourselves, I want to urge our youth to be calm and patient as we are taking measures to ensure that the situation is put under control.
As your government that is compassionate about the welfare of its people, We suspended our rallies as a means of showing empathy with the people and we have also taken further steps by engaging critical stakeholders in the banking sector,...

We paid a crucial visit to the Ogun State headquarters of the @cenbank in Abeokuta where we had a quick but indepth brainstorming session with top officials on ways to relieve the groaning people of the State of the tiresome cash crunch.
In addition, I made a call on the apex bank to intensify verifiable efforts to ensure wide and nonselective distribution, as well as tackle hoarding in deposit money banks.
We are hopeful that this essential session together with our visit alongside other concerned Governors to President Muhammadu Buhari in would bring the much needed solution to this troubling situation.

Ogun State will in the nearest time be host to a three billion dollars oil refinery, to be located in Tongeji Island of Ipokia LGA.
A result of our PPP with Gasoline Integrated International, the phased 400,000-litre-per-day refinery project will serve our people's local petroleum needs, provide over 10,000 direct & indirect jobs, boost the state's IGR, as well as improve infrastructure & technology.
I remarked with joy when I received the company directors led by the Chairman, Dr Lukman Bolaji today, that while this is God's compensation to us for losing a similar project to another state before our Administration, it is also a result of our stable investment drive set on...

I have received with serious concern, news of the developments in the protests in the Sango axis of Ogun State over the poor condition of the Federal Roads in the vital area: Lagos-Sango-Abeokuta Expressway, Ota-Idiroko, and Sango-Oju Ore roads. ImageImageImageImage
This is understandable, and no security agency will intimidate or stop any protester from making their needs known. ImageImageImageImage
However, while we have already initiated palliative works on Ota-Idiroko Road; the same thing will commence on the Ota area of Lagos-Sango-Abeokuta Expressway where more, needed materials and equipment will soon be delivered; and full reconstruction of the Sango-Joju Road is...

We have appointed the winner of the @BBNaija Lockdown, @itsLaycon Youth Ambassador of Ogun State in addition to house and cash gifts.

I relayed this development today, when I played host to Olamilekan Moshood Agbelesebioba AKA Laycon in my Oke-Mosan office in Abeokuta.
The appointment and gifts are a celebration of Laycon's good character, intellect and virtues which were proven to the whole world on live TV as better choices than vices.
A proud son of Ogun State, Laycon displayed the essence of focus in the face of temptations and provocations. This is the true Ogun State spirit, and it indeed confirms that this earned him his academic achievement at the University of Lagos.

Today, we have more than enough reasons to jubilate and reflect on our joint growth in Ogun State, as the world habitat is celebrated alongside teachers all over the world. Our habitats are like our teachers: they accommodate our inadequacies as we get better.
This is why we have prioritised housing infrastructure and will be delivering 12,500 housing units before year 2023.
I disclosed this at the commemoration event held in Abeokuta, where I I detailed that the @OGSGOfficial will independently build 2,500 affordable units & 10,000 jointly under the Social Housing Scheme of @MBuhari's Economic Sustainability Plan as one of the...

As Nigerians, we have before us, a better Nigeria that can only be attained by our collective allegiance, hope, and readiness to harness the numerous human and material resources with which the Creator has blessed us. ImageImageImageImage
I expressed this stance earlier today, when I joined other Christian faithful for the Special Church Service at the Cathedral Church of St. Peters, Ake marking the 60th National Day Celebration. ImageImageImageImage
While we celebrate our bright future this Diamond Jubilee, we must reflect on our past as a united Nation that has stayed strong in the face of her economic and security challenges, especially as we emerge from the COVID-19 scourge. ImageImageImageImage

Since the goal is to ensure safe road travel for the people, construction works will begin immediately and subsequently extend to other roads in need of similar attention. ImageImageImageImage

I congratulate all pupils and students returning to class today, and wish them a safe academic year. #BuildingOurFutureTogether #ISEYA

The Contract/Project Review Committee submitted their report to me in my Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta office today. ImageImageImageImage
The Committee was set up in July, 2019 to re-evaluate projects awarded 2009-2019 towards identifying significant ones, conformity with due process, and contingency for continuity.
This is along the lines of the continuum ideology guiding our steady and intensified completion and utility-driven conversion of inherited projects that have direct line of benefits to the good people of Ogun State.

Earlier today, I was at the Panseke-Adigbe Road to inspect its ongoing reconstruction project, where site engineers are now laying asphalt amongst other works. ImageImageImageImage
Though not awarded by this Government, it is a project funded by our Administration for the primary reason of taxpayers' welfare, especially as it forms a major part of the State's entry points. ImageImageImageImage
Other road projects ongoing on Owode-Ilaro, Ijebu Ode-Epe, Sagamu, Lafenwa-Rounda, Abeokuta-Interchange-Sagamu are pointers to our readiness to develop road infrastructure as a priority. ImageImageImageImage

It has become necessary, as a precautionary move, for me to urge the motoring public using the Sagamu-Interchange-Abeokuta Road as well as others currently being constructed by our Administration, to drive carefully on these roads. ImageImageImageImage
Engineers working on these roads would usually seal off one of two dualised lanes, so that as work continues on one, traffic flow may be managed on the other. ImageImageImageImage
This warrants a strict “no parking” policy on the open lane on which motorists are strongly advised not to overtake other vehicles. ImageImageImageImage

When I received Mrs Ulla Mueller, Country Representative (Nigeria) of the United Nations Population Fund and the entire @UNFPA team in my office just now, I disclosed that our Government has approved the payment of our counterpart funding for the year 2020 to the Agency. ImageImageImageImage
This will be the first payment in the last five years, despite the continued support we have continued to receive from the Agency in the areas of family planning; maternal health; response to gender based violence; population dynamics and education. ImageImageImageImage
Our Government prioritises population and gender equality, so we have taken serious steps towards strengthening our relevant laws and agencies.
