Oh boy! We're gonna have some fun with this one 🤣

@DHSCgovuk finally responded (after FOUR delays) to my #FOI request about the #JointBiosecurityCentre 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

TL;DR: Contradicting its own published statements, official procedures & Codes, #DHSC says it doesn't hold anything...
Here is @DHSCgovuk's response:

and, for reference, here is a snapshot of the GOV.UK page about #JBC, taken 4 days after #DHSC's reply:

So, what did DHSC say? I asked for a copy of the "establishing document"...
...for the #JointBiosecurityCentre, a £9 BILLION* new directorate** of @DHSCgovuk, and...

*According @CMO_England's evidence to Parliament last July:

So let's unpack this.

We hear a lot about "#dashboards"; we were even promised sight of one, back in March* - though we've not seen it yet.

...and we know @NHSEngland's hoovering up *at least* 70 different datasets into its #DataStore (the list at data.england.nhs.uk/covid-19/ is no longer comprehensive due to the controversial contents of some of the datasets).

As its "#PrivacyNotice" points out,

Margaret's blog refers to @NHSDigital's #DataProtectionNotice for the #COVID19 #GPES extract, but somehow omits to mention that people's #Type1 objections (#OptOuts) WILL be upheld: Image
And also that, according to digital.nhs.uk/coronavirus/gp…, actually *enhanced* #InformationGovernance processes - involving both @TheBMA & @rcgp - will be in place for data #access, which "may" include respecting #NDOP on a "case by case basis": ImageImage
Meanwhile, @NHSEngland/@NHSX in their notice to health & care professionals (while notably failing to mention #Type1s...) confirms patients STILL have the right to #OptOut of having a #SummaryCareRecord, and that existing #SCR #OptOuts will be respected:
