Paul: "Corbevax, clearly, the EUA has been given for adult and children. Be rest assured that the data has been by drug regulator. Be also rest assured for both these groups is being reviewed by the NTAGI because we work in tandem."+
The covid vaccine picture is awfully confusing. The current vaccines are doing a great job of preventing serious illness (at least, for people who are boosted), but they're not nearly so effective at preventing infection and transmission. 1/
What's more, the new variants are more contagious and less likely to cause severe infection, but they also appear to confer less immunity against re-infection:

I am dismayed by the people, including leaders, who are treating #Omicron as "mild" & therefore not a big deal ignoring the unvaccinated & unboosted, long covid, at risk groups and that it is not "mild" for everyone, just on average has less severe effects to the vaccinated
