I know there are many problems bigger than this one caused by the pandemic. But I miss baby playgroups and all my little niblings and cousins and other baby friends. And I can’t wait for all kiddos to get back to being in community with positive role models. It takes a village.

Also really feeling for everyone who became first time parents during the pandemic years.
I broke down tonight. I broke down because our team lost 2 special patients to this damn virus. 2 fully vaccinated lung transplant patients who did everything right and still it wasn't enough.
And all over Twitter & Facebook & the news, I see selfish folks without an ounce of compassion for their fellow humans, spewing lies and misinformation that are going to lead to even more preventable deaths. #COVIDSucks
Wow! You all are amazing! I am truly blown away by all of the comments of support for me, my team & our patients. Waking up this morning & realizing we are not alone in this fight has helped our team's healing more than you know.

A thread. Friday morning we take off on our Alaska to Florida driving adventure. I know some like to follow along when we take big road trips so I’ll use this as the thread & will pin it for easy access. Retirement here I come!
Got to do a trial run to Anchorage. It’s remarkably quiet in here. 
So excited to hit the road I’ve been awake since 2am. Since MrB is scheduled to do most of the driving today, I’m trying not to wake him. I really want to get started on the cleaning we need to do before we leave.

My @NTBasketBall U13 girls are scheduled to play tonight. I think we are playing No. 1 in province. I have a great game plan, including running a few set plays, and also taking advantage of our deadly 3-point shooting and killer man2man defence. If girls are mentally ready ...
which they have been (except for a handful of games), and play like how they beat the no. 3 and no. 4 teams in the province and won +++ tourneys, I think we can pull of a win, and increase our chance of medalling.
