Pandemic Mistakes
Part 2

Did we try hard enough to “Find the Sick!”?

Symptom Profiles:

Why did the U.K. not include the other common symptoms of Covid for testing and case I.D.?

Does this expose the true motives of the UK’s approach?

🧵
By now we have all learned the symptoms of Covid, at least those symptoms that lead to a PCR test in the U.K.:

1. Fever
2. Cough - “new and persistent”
3. Loss of taste or smell

But most of us are also aware that Covid can present just like a cold or flu or gut symptoms or etc,
Even from the start of the pandemic the choice the U.K. made to narrow the symptoms down seemed very odd. Undoubtably many cases - perhaps the majority - would be missed. This would mean containing the viral spread via Test and Trace would be near impossible.

As time went by…

I can’t believe this evidence was given to the Select Committee in June 2021 but has not been reported by the MSM. It is a long & difficult read but leaves me in no doubt at all that this government & its agencies have been negligent in their legal duty to protect HCW’s. 1/
I have been writing to my MP @tomhunt1988 since April 2020 stating my concerns about his governments handling of the pandemic, the inadequate protection against Covid for HCW’s & providing considerable supporting evidence. To date I have not received any explanation. 2/
David Osborn BSc, CMIOSH, SpDipEM Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner should be applauded for speaking out & all healthcare unions & professional organisations should be calling for further investigation into his very serious allegations. He states:

The truth is when I walked into that Covid ICU for the first time in full PPE with Respirator to be with my wife as she died. I took my respirator off anyway and kissed my beautiful wife Katie goodbye for the very last time. #KatiePersinger #CovidInquiryNow #WalkTheWall
When I’d finished watching Katie pass away from Covid-19 and left the ICU. I walked the 4.5 miles home so I didn’t give anyone else Covid-19. I was terrified of infecting anyone. I knew what I had done and understood the risks of Covid-19.
As I walked home I felt a knot buildup in my chest the rest of me felt numb and all I could think of was my son. How do I tell our son his mother is dead? I didn’t want to do it over the phone I’d have to do it in person. How would I do it with love and compassion?

This was me on @BorisJohnson and the UK governments, so called 'Freedom Day' - We unfortunately all know how that worked out! #KatiePersinger #CovidInquiryNow #WalkTheWall
I tried with all my heart and soul that day to warn people that day it was a mistake. It was NOT freedom being offerd that day, only more death. Only more hearts on our memorial wall.😢💛
The goverments decision on that day only led to more preventable deaths from covid in the UK and I personally will not forgive them for that!

WTF🤬; 9 Billion pounds in PPE has been written of by the uk government during the pandemic. #PPE 😷#KatiePersinger #CovidInquiryNow #WalkTheWall
That was money our desperately unprepared pandemic response & healthcare systems could have used!
The very thing that could have saved peoples lives. ❤️‍🩹

A word of warning. I’ve had Long Covid for 12mths and counting. In this time, I’ve been diagnosed with neurological sleep apnoea, encephalitis, sensorineural hearing loss, tinnitus dysautomnia and POTs, and myopericarditis. I was never hospitalised. My case is mild.
So those say Omicron is ‘mild’. Just be mindful. This is what a mild case looks like. #TreatLongCovid

COVID is airborne

Your actions tell the entire planet's population you are working hard to reach herd immunity through infecting our kids with a pathogen that kills & maims.

WIPE THOSE SMILES OFF YOUR FACES.

I WANT TO SEE YOU IN THE HAGUE BEFORE I DIE.

In individuals at low risk of COVID-19 mortality with ongoing symptoms, 70% have impairment in one or more organs 4 months after initial COVID-19 symptoms, with implications for healthcare and public health

Message from2019:Imagine a new deadly airborne virus swept across the world that without simple protection, would result in death & long term disability for millions. Imagine if powerful rich companies didn’t care, especially as
Affording the temporary protection meant disruption to cash flow. Would you believe it if I told you that the elite decide to dupe the population into thinking it was all a hoax, a bit like a cold, and normalised the idea that the most vulnerable weren’t worth saving,
That preventable death & disease wasn’t a thing? And that great chunks of society fell for it? That despite over 5 million deaths globally, mounting evidence of harm, vaccines, still the elite got their way? 2021 update: it happened

The NHS response to the Pandemic.

The public have a right to feel ABANDONED...
...in many ways they were.

But give me a moment to convince you: it was NOT the NHS that abandoned the public...it was our Leadership who abandoned us all.

[RT pls - people need to know].

All but the most suggestible would agree: the UK have sh*t the bed with COVID-19. A series of colossal and deadly failures led to the highest mortality rate in Europe,...

Why didn't you follow the WHO guidelines and increase basic healthcare capacity?...Why leave us with less beds to deal with more patients?

And why, after 20 months, do we still have less beds than before the pandemic?

[Counts as one question!..my tweet, my rules 😉]
@IanMaher7 @trishgreenhalgh @dgurdasani1 @DrSimonHodes @DrAmirKhanGP @DrSelvarajah @chrischirp @Kit_Yates_Maths @martinmckee @alisonleary1 @Katynurse27 @TigressEllie So far, in this entirely uncontrolled biased sample, and assuming we permit democracy to rule..
Why didn't we follow sage advice sept; increase hospital capacity; listen to other nations/WHO, and why CMO is not independent..
Keep them coming...repetition allowed, as is venting...

Thoughts on the joint statement issued by Royal College, BMA, etc..

Defending healthcare from new government demands

Please RT, change will only occur if the public support it..

bit.ly/3aneDrU
A number of national bodies have written a joint statement highlighting the pressures on the health service and staff.

The public are upset they have reduced access to care.

The government wants more face to face consults and for waiting lists to fall…
But these demands are made when:

1. Our bed capacity remains lower than it has ever been. Despite WHO advice to increase basic care capacity to manage the additional patients, this Leadership reduced it by 8%. Less beds = less frontline staff.

A question everyone should be asking: WHY has #cdnmedia failed to report on one of the biggest political scandals in decades. O’Toole & #CPC colluded w/ #Conservative premiers to delay implementing covid measures until after #elxn44vote. People died as a result #CovidInquiryNow
The very next day after #elxn44vote, #JasonKenney shuffles Shandro, #ScottMoe flies under the radar & the UCP sends an official request to the Trudeau gov’t for help. (Because of jurisdiction the feds must be invited). Something UCP could’ve done weeks ago. #CovidInquiryNow
I’d just like to underscore this point. The letter sent by Ric McIver the day he replaced Shandro, is extremely revealing. A “State of Public Health Emergency” was declared on Sept 15, but no formal request was made to the Trudeau gov’t until immediately after #Elxn44. #ABleg

Today, bereaved families travelled from all over the country to ‘walk the wall’ together, in an act of solidarity and support for one another. 480 families also wrote to their MP’s asking them to join us.

It’s heartbreaking to see new families who have recently lost loved ones joining our group, having gone through the same experiences that we had 18 months ago.

With nearly 1,000 deaths in the last week, it’s becoming clear that by kicking the UK inquiry down the road for as long as poss, the Government is failing to learn the lessons that will save lives. People could be dying unnecessarily as a direct consequence.
