Thank you @cricvidya team for inviting me. It was a pleasure to talk about the SCG test & discuss the issues around it. Posting the clip where I speak about the issue of racism & how we all must collectively work towards eradicating it by some individual steps by being more aware
of what we say. We must take a leaf out of @Eoin16's book & appreciate diversity and embrace it fully like he did when he spoke of @englandcricket's success in #CWC19 & how diversity was a pillar for it. (2)
Lastly, we must look within ourselves and call out the racism at home first (have spoken of Hardik Pandya & the jokes he keeps receiving on his skin colour) while we are standing with our people who are being subject to racism abroad. We shouldn't be selective in anyway and

I feel that #Ashwin and #jadeja were wrongly thrown under the bus after the team lost out in Champions Trophy Final in 2017. I don't have anything against the current lot but Why is no one talking about the current spinners and their poor performance at #CWC19? (1/n)
#Ashwin and #Jadeja 's so called ineffectiveness in the middle overs was supposed to be the reason for loss in 2017. They then get rested after that Tournament & when that rest became drop nobody knows. My point is that What's good for the goose should be good for the gander(2/n)
Weren't the leg spinners supposed to be able to turn in any conditions? Weren't they supposed to be wicket takers in the middle orders? They were supposed to be effective in every conditions while finger spinners were just not supposed to be good enough. (3/n)

No doubt this picture - the moment England won the cricket World Cup (#CWC19) yesterday - will become iconic, a symbol of an extraordinary summer evening at the @HomeOfCricket. We will see it again and again. So it’s worth a closer look. 1/19
On the left, we can see half of Martin Guptill, the New Zealand opener, as he launches himself horizontally, bat outstretched, in a futile attempt to get back to his ground before the ball hits the stumps. 2/19
Guptill looks like the front half of a four-legged creature, a hyena perhaps, clutching a bat in his claws. Inevitably that gesture has echoes of the moment a few minutes earlier when Stokes, diving for his ground, had knocked the ball to the boundary for an unexpected four. 3/19

If you hadn’t noticed (and it seems lots haven’t!), there’s a World Cup Final on at Lords today, with England in it! Stay away that rain.
Excited as I am for #CWC19 Final, it’s disappointing tht @ECB_cricket wasted opportunities to win huge domestic support for cricket & the national team. 10.30am weekday starts most days, Sky subscription only & scheduling vs Wimbledon Men’s Final. Still, stay away that rain!
@ECB_cricket NZ put themselves into bat first. Interesting decision, given the skies. Come on England!

Sometimes you are a victim of your own success. The Indian team had the most prolific 1-2-3 punch in World Cricket. The problem with that was that it masked the brittle middle order. Other than Kedar Jadhav, none of the others #TeamIndia #INDvNZ #CWC19
were established batsmen capable of winning the match on their own. I don’t think Ambati Rayudu was the solution but the selectors created a sticky situation by playing him till it was too late. And when they went the other way, they chose an unproven #TeamIndia #CWC19 #INDvNZ
player like Vijay Shankar. Dhawan’s injury creates a bigger issue because it took out a solid batsman in KL Rahul. What happened in the semis was always on the cards. The move to win the next World Cup starts now. #TeamIndia #CWC19 #INDvsNZ

Thank You Dhoni. Without you taking it till the end, this match would have been dead long ago.

Thank You Jadeja. You're absolutely INCREDIBLE! Anyone who calls you BITS & PIECES can go to HELL!

Thank You Pant and Pandya. You did well to hang in there after we were 5/3.

Rohit Sharma, I run out of words to describe your contribution in the World Cup. Five hundreds is legendary stuff and it will be very disappointing that you would not go to Lord's. FAN FOR LIFE! Go make more records and come back stronger, we have a WT20 coming up soon!
Jasprit Bumrah! You are a legend. One in a Billion. Not even in my dreams would I have imagined that India would have a fast bowler like you. Absolute marvel at the start, in the middle and at death too. Ticked all his boxes in #CWC19

Time for a Brexit break as the shouting gets louder, & we replay the past.

To counter the negativity of our political era, I was thinking about a fierce blue sky, magical cloud formations, extraordinary achievements of humanity & of the beauty of a quiet moment.

For now, Adiós.
This time, I hope, for real!

Have taken Twitter off my phone for a while - to get away from the noise and to stop being part of the noise. I think a period of quiet from everyone, and some thinking & reflection, is a good way forward.

For now, be kind.
Apologies for the many tweets and message I have not replied to - still on a much needed Twitter break, saving spare moments to, enjoy #CWC19 #FIFAWWC.

Enjoying being away from the noise for a while. It's busy churning itself.

As ever, for now, be kind.
Enjoy the "summer".
